OK, what my daughter and I wanted to do was go to a destination where we can go snorkeling. Just so everyone is aware… The Florida Keys do not have any sandy beaches. You cannot go snorkeling and see anything if you do not take a charter on a boat and go out at least 20-30 minutes off shore. Where we stayed had a wonderful pool and amenities that we took full advantage of. Even though it was hot outside, it was nice to get up early and go to the fish market, have a lazy morning and then go snorkeling in the afternoon. FYI, that’s the best time to go when it’s full sun, you can see more underwater. We went on a mother and daughter trip and it really gave us plenty of time to visit with each other. There was plenty of restaurants to go to, but we had a wonderful gourmet kitchen, and I love to cook… Shopping and getting fresh fish that was caught that morning was the best! My daughter is 25 years old and we had been to Miami to get a tour of the university of Miami at the Marine biology school. What we really wanted to do was enjoy the scenery, the snorkeling and just spending quality time together. Driving down the keys is absolutely amazing! It was both of us our first time there.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

In the middle of the archipelago, so you're halfway from Miami or Key West. Plenty of places to go. Parks, Tiki Bars, a lot of new infrastructure and franchises. Somehow is loosing its original touch but that's not a bad thing in today's timesGuest review byednextoUnited States - 10.0
Pretty much in the center of the Keys.
Pretty much in the center of the Keys. Easy to visit the rest of the Keys. Lots of restaurants. So much traffic, & we always had to turn right to drive to somewhere where we could turn around. Center turn lanes would have helped a lot to cross traffic since we almost always wanted to turn left.Guest review byMARDELLUnited States - 6.0

The bungalows are fairly new, but are not well kept you can wipe the floor with a white washcloth damp in it and it’ll be completely dirty with just one wipe in the drawers. There were hair. The bed had a stain on the bed liner after removing the sheets and putting them in the shower for the maid to wash, they never washed that bedliner. It was completely discussed. It probably would’ve left if I didn’t known it was there. There were problems with the room as far as a globe on a light in the bathroom was broken. The room could’ve use a good cleaning, but as I said, it’s fairly new just not well. Maintained probably won’t look nice for long.Guest review byTodd - 10.0
Big Pine key is the equivalent of a locals restaurant.
Big Pine key is the equivalent of a locals restaurant. Not too flashy, not too expensive. 1/2 a dozen places to eat. A full size grocery store. All of 25 miles from Key west. Great fishing. Plenty of key deer. Just a nice laid back spot in the lower keys.Guest review byMatthewUnited States - 10.0

Tavernier is between Key Largo & Islamorada, so it is in a great location. It's an easy drive from Miami airport (just over one hour). It is about a 1 hr. 45 min. drive to Key West, which makes a great day trip (we did it twice during our eight-day stay. Our favorite dining spots are Capt. Craig's (superb chef-prepared meals), The Fish House (a Key Largo institution), and High Tide (best breakfast). For groceries there is Winn Dixie a few minutes from the apartment and Publix in Key Largo (we prefer Publix for better produce and selection). For activities, there's a small beach at Ocean Pointe which was nice, not too crowded, and relaxing. There is John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo, only a few minutes away, with lots of activities like snorkeling, canoeing, paddle boarding, and glass bottom boat rides. We always take a half day of fishing with Capt. Jordan or Capt. Matt (Key Largo Fishing Adventures) and if you like to sky dive, go to Key West for a day and jump with one of the great instructors there. It's worth it! Getting around in the Keys is super easy - one road in (Overseas Hwy.) and marked by MM (mile markers) so everything is straight forward.Guest review byHereWeGoAgainUnited States - 6.0

The location was good for getting to Key West, only 20 mins away. there is a good size fridge in the room. the view is nice, but can't enjoy it outside because of the bugs. The Tiki bar is still closed. There's no coffee machine in the room, which really is inexcusable for me. To pay $800+ for 3 nights and have to go outside to the tiki bar to get coffee, no thanks! You need to bring your own hair conditioner, and body lotion. Bottom line, I would not recommend . I didn't eat in the restaurant there, but their menu is high priced. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was grungy looking.Guest review byLourdesUnited States - 10.0
We really enjoyed our June trip to Key West.
We really enjoyed our June trip to Key West. It was hot and humid, but Winslow's Bungalows has three pools. We were able to cool off as needed. Everything is walking distance as the island is only 4 miles long. We rented a golf cart for two days when we went to Fort Zachary Beach. This way, we did not have to carry all our beach stuff. This is the best beach on the island. There is plenty to do. Our favorites were visiting the Ernest Hemingway House and Truman's White House. We really enjoyed swimming on the sandbars- we recommend it. The sunset cruise was like baking on a hot pavement that never ends- if you like loud drunk people and dying slowly in the sun- this is for you. ( We were there in June- this would be more tolerable in winter months).Guest review byCrowUnited States
