The people are what make it so good.
The people are what make it so good. Very polite people who appear to be honest and kind. The shopping mall across the road from the Hilton was a wonderful place with a food hall and a good supermarket. We enjoyed a day trip to Moorea and a taxi trip around that island. Also the 5-hour Tahiti group trip and the boat trip. I did not do any snorkelling as I do not swim and I thought perhaps an activity in knee-high water could have been included in the boat trip. The Museum of the Islands was a good activity.Guest review byRev Leah BonifaceNew Zealand - 6.0

Very hard to locate the actual apartment as there are no signs and the name appears to be wrong. Lucky for us to find a lovely generous occupant who helped us into our studio apartment. Fair walk to the shops due to the property being so high up the hill but the views from our balcony was fabulous. The swimming pool was a very big plus.Guest review byTuulaAustralia - 4.0

The room had a nice view & the tv had netflix but it was noisy with the bar playing music all night. If you have any food intolerances don't go here, they don't cater for it at all & aren't prepared to make anything that isn't on the menu. The jet ski's are constantly whizzing past just outside the lagoon so swimming in the sea is dangerous & they have resident Cockerell's in the property that call constantly from dawn to dusk. The nearest supermarket is 1.5 miles away & you have to walk at the side of a very busy duel carriageway & breathe in the fumes. The reception & bar staff are lovely but the catering staff are unhelpful & unpleasant apart from the chef.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Amazing! We cooked our on food.
Amazing! We cooked our on food. The Villa was great my kids had their own room, blast music, no neighbors, walked the mountain. Thing I didn’t like not air on the mountain as far as breeze none even with the all the windows open we had to call the owner to get fans for air. They were accommodating to bring us fans. Other than that perfect! Will go back to stay at the same Villa hands down.Guest review byTaraUnited States - 8.0

If you rent a car, there are lots of traffic circles and they drive fast! Ate at food trucks which were really good and good price. Walked to a little corner store which provided enough to get us through the first day. Careful of the dogs running wild in the streets. Seem friendly enough, but did hear of a person getting bitten by one. Would not want to walk in the dark in that area. Hotel seemed safe at night. Rented a vehicle and drove the entire island of Tahiti Anui and Tahiti Iti. High recommend driving the entire island. Lots to see and do!Guest review byHeidiCanada - 10.0
Good shops and a huge market, though all very expensive.
Good shops and a huge market, though all very expensive. Their own hand-made pareos and other garments are beautiful. There is a lovely garden (Paofae) along the sea front which starts just beyond the marina. From here we watched the sunset which was stunning. There are beaches around the island, both white and black sand, but not in Papeete itself. There are buses but we didn't use them as we had the private tour.Guest review byJanet - 8.0

When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete for proximity to the ferry terminal (we were headed to Moorea next day). Flying back from another island in FP a few weeks later, we stayed in Faaa since we would be flying back to the States the next day. Now we know, we'd stay in Faaa on both ends and taxi to the ferry terminal if we were planning to go to Moorea next.Guest review bySkiUnited States - 2.0
We couldn't sleep due to 95 degree temperature in unit.
We couldn't sleep due to 95 degree temperature in unit. We were too exhausted to do anything. Not easy to get around as taxis are booked up in advance. Unit is in gated community so taxis can't get in.Guest review byStanleyUnited States - 8.0
It was such a beautiful place.
It was such a beautiful place. The open markets were exceptional in that they offered fresh produce and a variety of local arts and crafts. The artisans were truly gifted using unique techniques to highlight everyday items grown/foraged in the surrounding environment. I definitely plan to go back and soak up the island atmosphere!! And a shout out to a little establishment we ate at: Jojo's Pizza was the BOMB! We ate there the last evening before we left; My only complaint was that we didn't find this place sooner!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
