The room was really large and the bathroom enormous (and beautiful). This was a little distance from the train station (about 800m) but Hiroshima is flat and friendly, so the walk to the station was a highlight of our stay.

Good location, small boutique hotel. I took the larger room for a little extra cost and it was worth it. 2 x large double beds, kitchen sink, microwave, fridge. Parking out the front and around the corner also (have to pay). 12 minutes to the park and memorial, easy walk. Plenty of eating and shopping options 4 minutes away.

    the hotel was just minutes from the bus station and train station which was very convenient. as i wanted to ride on the bullet train it was brilliant. also visited the atomic dome. its easy to visit other attractions as their are tour buses at the bus station . there are many places to get something to eat your spoilt for choice.

    It was my second trip to Miyajima island.

    It was my second trip to Miyajima island. The first time I only travelled their with my wife and we did not stay in any accommodation. I left back on the ferry same day feeling that I had to eventually return. I was able to do that and I loved every moment. It's an island I would consider going back too again and staying over again. The island offers so much. For those that want heritage and history, tick. For those that want a close encounter with a deers, tick. For those who love calm beaches or mountains, tick. For those that want experiences with friendly locals, tick. Those wanting to do shopping, especially souveniours, tick. For those who want physical activity, the walking trails up the mountain are a definite tick. I could go on, but, for so many reasons I love and would highly recommend travel to Miyajima.

    If your visiting Onomichi for bike riding , it has everything you need . It’s also has great walks , shopping ,places to eat and the walk along the waterfront and boardwalk is wonderful. Enjoy a meal or a drink . Catch the ferry to the islands and explore on foot or bike.

    It’s a little off the main tourist route, which is why it’s worth a visit. In November the weather was great. It was easy to visit the castle and grounds and a bus trip to Tomonoura was great way to spend the day. A little fishing port famous for being in films and again not too busy. In Fukuyama a visit to the Clock and auto museum is like entering an Aladdin’s cave of wonders. It’s full of the past and not just cars and clocks. Lots of small owner run restaurants as well.

    Mihara is a pocket of suburban quiet within the larger area of Hiroshima. Within easy ferry access of Okunoshima (Rabbit) Island, the Mihara area provides quiet, budget-friendly accommodations, and local specials. Mihara station also acts as a stop for the Shinkansen, so it is a great place to act as a base town during your travel. Please visit Mihara!

    The owner/ front desk was super nice and friendly. He went above and beyond. Gave me the best room with lower price because I was solo and room is for 2. Yet the room and all areas in hotel were very clean and smelled good. It’s also across from train station and easy to commute everywhere. I will definitely stay again.

    Kure is a great place for travelers who have an interest in Naval history, owing to Kure's long history as a naval port and the birthplace of famous ships like the battleship Yamato and aircraft carrier Akagi. The following restaurants were recommended to me so I also recommend them to future travelers! - Tone-honten (Curry Rice) - Dosanko Kure Hondori (Ramen) - Morisu (Ramen) - Jiyuken (Omurice) There is a rental bicycle service offered by JR by the station for 500円 where the bikes can be rented starting from 0800hrs and returned by 2000hrs.

    Cute rabbits are just in front of the hotel. Anyone loves rabbit should come here once. But if you want to live here for one night or even longer, you should pay attention to the air in the aisle. The windows should be opened to let fresh air in.

    This is a great town.

    This is a great town. Underrated in the conversation about Japanese tourism. The city has all the shopping found in the other big cities, but there is more space, the pace is a bit slower, and it is easy to make sense of the layout and transportation. Miyajima is beautiful, and if you go about two blocks uphill from the shopping street, the tourists disappear, and you have river valleys and shrines all to yourself.

    Miyajima is simply magical!

    Miyajima is simply magical! From the moment you step off the ferry, you’re surrounded by stunning natural beauty, peaceful shrines, and the famous floating torii gate—it truly feels like stepping into a sacred, timeless world. One of the most enchanting parts of the island was wandering through the smaller shrines tucked into the forest, where rows of little Buddha statues wear hand-knitted red hats and bibs. There’s something incredibly touching and serene about them—like the whole island is wrapped in quiet reverence. Add in the friendly deer, delicious street food (don’t miss the grilled oysters and momiji manju!), and the breathtaking views from Mount Misen, and Miyajima easily became one of our favorite places in Japan. I didn’t want to leave!
