Tidy and cute, has character, great value for the price! Really lovely staff. Very central location. They allowed me to stay and use the pool and showers after check out when I was waiting for the night bus which was so kind and generous. Absolutely would stay again and recommend. Thank you!

It was a perfect oasis in Phong Nha, right across the road from the river and a 5 minute bike ride into town. Room was big and comfortable. Great having a swimming pool to cool off in the afternoon after a long morning of adventure and discovery. Xiem and her family were great in answering all our questions and helping us make the most of our stay with suggestions for tours. The Homestay has bikes available for free and also can provide motorbike riders for longer journey's around the national park. After a stay of 5 days we were sad to leave as we had begun to feel part of the Phong Nha family.

A ten minute ride out from the town, nicely tucked away from all the hustle. Very quiet with a lovely pool to relax by. We rented motorbikes super easy. The host wasn’t there much but was very easy to contact via WhatsApp. The room was stunning, clean and spacious! If you’re ok to be outside of the town it’s a great stay.

Beautiful spot on the river. Appreciated having the restaurant on site and the included breakfasts. The staff/owners there were very friendly and helpful (and could speak English well, which was helpful). They offered to organise tours and private drivers on our behalf and helped us to figure out how to get to Phong Nha. This is a wonderful area to visit, so many options of things to see.

Room was a good size, provided a kettle but no tea/coffee so strange. Pool looked nice but didn't get to use it as it was a short trip. Breakfast was ok, eggs and bread or noodles, only ice tea offered - coffee is an extra price which is unusual to see. Close to restaurants and 10 min walk to the lake (phang Nha cave boats)

    Very nice room, local bathroom system unusual for westerners. Breakfast ok ( except coffee wich in most places Phong nha is not good) very good help from Linh Over all I give a 8-9 grade to my experience at this hotel

    We liked the local eateries serving traditional food.

    We liked the local eateries serving traditional food. The locals were the friendliest we have met so far. The area is really chilled and the residents of Dong Hoi seem of a happy disposition. Paradise cave is well worth a visit. Get a private taxi there for 7am opening and you may be lucky enough to have the entire cave to yourself, as we did! Try the eel noodles. If you’re from the UK the eels don’t tast like they do at home, they are meaty and have zero fishy taste or odour. Delicious. If you fancy a craft beer, M Steakhouse has amber ale, stout and pale ale. We went here for a break from Vietnamese food and wasn’t disappointed.

    A long boat ride into the cave followed by a quieter paddling inside. The caves is huge largest I've ever been and very impressive with the structures. After boat ride, we walked a short while allowing to view them up close.

    The communal family connections I saw as I roamed through the streets gave me a smile on my face. It's a pretty quiet city, especially when compared to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Overall, a good in between city to visit to get to one of my favourite places. Phong Nha Village and Caves.

    We have been to Phong Nha many times, 8 times already. We go Phong Nha for a quiet and peaceful time and at the same time you have the opportunity of adventures like visit the biggest cave in the world (booked in advanced)

    We loved the caves up in Phong Nha National Park and the...

    We loved the caves up in Phong Nha National Park and the whole surroundings. It was a great excursion. We rented scooters in Dong Hoi and drove there. Nature is amazingly beautiful. There is not much traffic, but it's good to be at the Paradise Cave early. When the tour groups arrive, the atmosphere gets destroyed, as everywhere. The boat trip into Phong Nha Cave was nice. There we went later in the afternoon, again because then the groups have gone. We preferred staying down in Dong Hoi because it's more of a local scene there are excellent restaurants in town.
