Lovely town with plenty of great bars and restaurants.
Lovely town with plenty of great bars and restaurants. Lots of history and old buildings and churches. Stunning river views and easy to get around on foot. The museum of Zamora and the castle were informative and free for oldies like us! The local people were so friendly and helpful. There are even some big name stores on the fringes so they don’t detract from the beautiful old town.Guest review byjenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A lovely little town perched above the river where people relax and swim in the summer. We stayed in the center with a great view just next to the castle. Plenty of good restaurants around so spoilt for choice..Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Old centre has some picturesque buildings, and the novelty of huge stork nests on several of the church spires and towers, with storks and young in residence in May. Bars not generally open between 15:00 and 21:00. Good for touring region but apart from architectural interest, missable.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Villaralbo is a small working village in an agricultural environment. There is a pleasant church and surrounding area to stroll but not a tremendous number of tourist attractions. In contrast however, the River Duero runs a short walk away where locals fish and relax. There is also a canoe club which use the river. We usually walk for about an hour along the bank and enjoy the tranquillity of the river and the varied wildlife there. Really a hidden gem for those who love the countryside.Guest review byElblandoSpain - 10.0

Good location.
Good location. Nice building but poorly maintained and not very clean. Beds comfortable. Bathroom acceptable. No allocated parking - this may be available on-street but may be a distance away. Breakfast definitely not worth having.Guest review byJosephUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There is easy access to every thing that there is to see.
There is easy access to every thing that there is to see. The cathedral was great and the Romanesque churches a delight. The old Roman wall wove in and out of the town and buildings. A lovely feeling of calm.Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 10.0
It was a holiday, so many places were closed.
It was a holiday, so many places were closed. Including getting in to hotel. I had to call for code, which was fine. I get an immediate response. Never saw anyone that worked there, that was kind of interesting. Very cool old building. Would have liked to be there for the farmers market on Fridays.Guest review byKristinUnited States - 10.0

It is a fascinating historical town, the old town rather crumbling at the moment. Centuries of history at every turn. Many bars with good ranges of tapas, but hard to find a functioning restaurant at the moment. The cafe/restaurant next to the Hotel Juan II does excellent lunches.Guest review byJustinUnited Kingdom
