The room was quite spacious and clean, well kept during our stay, with AC which could be used for cooling or heating. The kitchenette is relatively well-equipped, definitely good enough for the basic needs. The staff was very nice, answering our questions and providing good advice - even in Dutch, to our surprise. The hotel is quite easy to find, with plenty parking spaces during our stay.

the hotel is relatively new but it’s really everything you need in a stay. the space, the shower with hot water & strong shower, great ventilation, a lovely sink, & comfortable bed. the a/c worked great. it’s about 5 mins from Plaça dels Pins where you’ll likely take the bus to other parts of the island. or 11 mins from Plaça de la Pau where you’ll take the bus to airport or mahon & other places near there. it’s right in the ciutadella old town. couldn’t have asked for a better location to set up your stay in menorca.

FAQs about hotels in Menorca

Unhurried life in unspoiled nature

A beautiful Balearic Island, Minorca (or Menorca) has wonderful beaches, sandy coves and a more laid-back atmosphere than its neighbors, Ibiza and Majorca. Featuring the world’s 2nd largest natural harbor, its capital, Mahon, is the center of the nightlife, with several clubs and bars. However, as soon as you head to one of the Menorca resorts, things start to slow down. Punta Prima along the coast has a lovely Blue Flag beach, while the longest beach at Son Bou on the south coast is lined by protected sand dunes. Much of Menorca’s unspoiled beauty is ecologically important, so it’s worth heading inland from the beaches to explore the mountains. The views from the highest peak, Monte Toro, are amazing. Also worth checking out are the "taula," prehistoric megaliths of mysterious origin. Another prehistoric monument is the Naveta tomb near Ciutadella, a city centered around its port, partly lined with walls. Fantastic Cala Blanca and Cala’n Bosch to the south have a nice range of luxury Minorca hotels available on Booking.com, as does curving Cala Galdana where the sea appears almost green. On the more rocky north side of the island, the main resorts are Fornells, a pretty fishing village, and Arenal d’en Castell, home to yet another wonderful horseshoe bay.

Ciutadella is a lovely, comfortable city in Menorca, boasting a charming historic town and beautiful coastlines. Personally, I found the sea near Ciutadella far more picturesque than that around the capital, Mahon.

Nice spot. It's the most western location in Menorca.

Nice spot. It's the most western location in Menorca. One can see the big sister Mallorca and a great sunset, too. It has a few of these exceptionally beautiful little canyons (e.g. Cala en Forcat) where one can swim and sunbath. There is a little strip with restaurants, nightlife, supermarkets, etc. It's not a party location but I went once out on the weekend and there where a bunch of people in party mode. Enough to have a bit of a buzz if you're okay to connect to strangers. The next big city, Ciutadella de Menorca, is just a 5 minutes drive away. The old town and centre is very charming and offers plenty of space to wander around and to dine in quality and locally. The old town vibe manages to remain untouched and the tourists that are around don't stand out too much really. It's a chilled place with authentic people that live their lives there, but they have a few late night clubs where one can party hard all night. There was plenty of free parking right next to the harbor in the old town when I was there in October. I think that a taxi from Cala en Balnes to Ciutadella de Menorca should be very affordable. Generally, Menorca is a very safe and beautiful place where people are still people. Some drivers are too relaxed, though, haha. One needs to adapt to a chilled driving style ;->

Depending on what an individual likes and enjoys, the resort is very small, literally just the harbour to walk around in the evening, the beach is very close and is very nice. The harbour has many different types of restaurants to cater for all, there are a few small market stalls in the evening (we went in June). There is a good bus service to Ciutadella which is much bigger and livelier with more smaller and bigger shops to browse. There are boat trips from Cala'n Bosch either escorted or to hire yourself. It was quiet in June and relaxing.

We have been holidaying in Cala Blanca for 14 years. First going there when our daughter was little. Although Cala Blanca is quite large you feel like you are in a small friendly place. The bars and restaurants are all in walking distance of each other and everyone is so friendly. There is a fabulous bus service that can take you to other resorts around the island which is highly recommended.

Mostly residencial, with facilities and restaurants more or less in the same area. Various small scale supermarkets throughout. Easy parking. Overall good location as it is in the middle of the island on the south coast, and can go in all directions from there. The only awful thing is that huge building in the beginning that simply does not fit at all with the place.

We visited Fornells pre season, therefore very quiet and a lot of bars, restaurants and shops hadnt opened. everything was about to open up. my opinion is it is the perfect place for 'boaties'. you need a car to travel to beaches as there isnt a beach at Fornells. Although parking can be difficult in the port itself, there is plenty of parking available a short walk behind the village. An upmarket quirky and pretty village. a varied selection of restaurants offering fish or the famous Lobster stew. plentyt of walks for enthusiasts. Margarert

We’ve been to Cala’n Porter many times.

We’ve been to Cala’n Porter many times. It has a beautiful bay (unfortunately damaged by a severe storm this year, but now re-opened) with safe bathing. The bay is reached via approx 135 steps or by road. There used to be a little train to bring people up from the beach, but sadly this no longer operates so for those who can’t do steps or walk far and don’t have transport, a taxi would be necessary The compact town centre has many nice restaurants including El Pulpo and Lorengos which we particularly liked. There’s a children’s play area and a weekly market and two or three supermarkets for those self- catering.
