FAQs about hotels on Ibiza
An island of surprises
Even though it's famous for fantastic clubbing, Ibiza is so much more and makes a surprisingly good family destination. Booking.com’s range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Ibiza cover all kinds of holiday. The main nightlife is centred around San Antonio, where superclubs Es Paradis and Eden only kick off after midnight. Playa d’en Bossa also has amazing clubs including Space which attracts big-name DJs year after year. Nearby Ibiza Town (or Eivissa) is the island’s capital, and although it has its fair share of bars and restaurants, the feel is more laidback. The cobbled streets in its walled Old Town, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offer a spot of shade from the Spanish sun. Along the coast is Santa Eulalia del Rio, an altogether more exclusive resort whose marina is lined with expensive yachts. However, the best family hotels in Ibiza are in northern resorts like Portinatx and Port de San Miguel. Here crystal-clear waters lap sandy beaches hidden in rocky coves. The scenery is simply stunning and the vibe couldn’t be more different to down south. Inland Ibiza still retains much of its original character. Hiring a bike is a great way to explore sleepy villages like Santa Agnès and San Rafael, though be warned – some of the terrain can be tricky!

The town itself has a youthful, upbeat vibe, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and beach clubs to explore. Whether you're after a chilled-out beach day or a night of dancing, San Antonio delivers. It’s a place where you can unwind by the sea, meet fellow travellers, and soak up the Balearic spirit.Guest review byDONATASUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely little town with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Lovely little town with plenty of places to eat and drink. The little lane near the castle looks lovely lit up in the evening (also in the summer). Friendly staff in the bars and restaurants we visited. No downside that we found.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Staying in Playa d'en Bossa is great if your idea is to go clubbing and bars at night. It makes it easier to everything walking distance. However, if your trip also is for relaxing purposes or with family, I would rather choose another area of Ibiza and less expensive as well.Guest review byAngelaNetherlands - 10.0
Ibiza has its reputation as the party capital of the world...
Ibiza has its reputation as the party capital of the world but you can make it a crazy mad one or a peaceful quiet one. I was somewhere in between. I chose the hotel because it is far away enough from the noise but close enough to walk the coastal path and it is safe to do so after midnight. Bus stop one minute from the hotel goes direct to the airport! No 9 and takes about 45 minutes and costs four euro. From my hotel Pikes is about ten minutes by cab. Boat trips are from the port which is about 30 minutes walk. If you have a head for heights, solid (but empty) stomach, try why I call the sling slot - bungie straps attached to a chair and catapults you into the air. Stags and hens will always be present but none were ever excessive, in fact as a solo traveller they wanted to look after me and join their groups. Loads of ATMs but some might charge. Pick a spot to grab the sunset.Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lots of good places to eat.
Lots of good places to eat. I was there to celebrate a friend's landmark birthday, and we found a variety of good cuisine and some interesting places within easy walking distance. Quite quiet. My only regret is I never went into the air raid shelter, even though it was meant to be open when I was there.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely resort!
Lovely resort! Small and walkable, with plenty of choice in terms of hotels and restaurants. This is a quieter resort than other areas of Ibiza and therefore geared towards families and older people, or those just looking for a quiet escape away from the big clubs. The beach is lovely, with plenty of sunbeds, and a few nice beach bars lining the bay. Solimar restaurant is a nice place to eat, and Charlie's bar has a great vibe in the evening. The ferry is a good option to take you places like Formentera, Santa Eulalia, or Ibiza Town - but there are also bus connections.Guest review byPegler - 8.0

Close to the ferry terminal, and also close to transportation to the old town. The City Boat ferry is very convenient but be careful - there are 4 ferries and you need to ensure you take the Talamanca ferry from the old town, otherwise you will be heading in the opposite direction.Guest review byScottUnited States - 10.0

Excellent location. 15/20 minutes to Old town, 40 minutes to San Antonio and loads of really lovely up scale restaurants and affordable family Restaurants all in facility 2 supermarkets on the beach and one at the top of the town €25 for two sun beds and umbrella on the beach, sunbed man comes around to pay about 11am. We stayed at the beginning of the summer holiday and there were sun beds throughout the day to rent available.Guest review byKatieUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Portinatx looks as if it is a seaside village in transition.
Portinatx looks as if it is a seaside village in transition. In what was once a budget (in Ibiza terms!) family bucket and spade resort on the northern tip of Ibiza, the newer properties being built are more up-market. This means that the Portinatx of today boasts the island's most expensive hotel (the Six Senses), but also a Del Boy's Bar! The village is easy to get around (there's a really nice boardwalk/promenade), and there are several small supermarkets if you are self-catering. The sea was warm (in June), and was the most amazing colour - turquoise and azure stripes yet crystal clear when you went for a swim. The village has three beaches - the two in the village centre can get busy, so we preferred to walk another five minutes towards the lighthouse to find a quieter beach with a bit more space. All the beaches have bars and cafes around them, and all have sunbed/parasol rental available. There's a variety of restaurants to choose from - you can get pizza or burger and chips, but there are also several restaurants selling delicious tapas or Mediterranean fish dishes. We particularly enjoyed Rebrots and Niu for an evening meal. We really enjoyed our week, and think it would be interesting to return in a few years to no doubt see more changes.Guest review byMelanieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It is a great combination of happening place, quaint local charm and plenty of super food, bars, shops and services. All very walkable. We used it as a base to explore all over the island with a rental car. Well worth it if you rent from one of the off airport local companies. Very inexpensive!Guest review byAnonymous
