Getting around was easy as the buses were cheap and frequent. It was hard at times to find restaurants selling vegan food but we cooked most evenings. The market in the old city was lovely and the Hiper Dino had a good selection of food for us. The aquarium was amazing and well worth the entrance fee. Not many English stay in Las Palmas so it felt very Spanish/Canarian which suited us. We spent an enjoyable evening on the roof terrace of the Santa Catalina hotel. Well worth the visit.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I liked the shopping centre, the quirky tourist shops and the restaurants were great. A walk along the front was lovely and took us to the fishing beach and onto a large play area for kids. This had a few restaurants around also. Its a great area to stay as a stop-off for a trip to Loro ParqueGuest review byLouTimms75United Kingdom - 10.0
The area is perfect for all ages
The area is perfect for all ages It is desired by adults for the wonderful view it offers. The long walks with the different terraces that invite you are a dream. The important thing is that the beach is public everywhere and is not private. Accommodations have very good prices. 4-star hotels are around 120 euros per night. For young people there is nightlife with parties on the seashore. Food is for all tastes. - there are higher prices for quality food as well as lower prices. The menu of the day costs 13 euros.Guest review byGabrielaRomania - 10.0

Loved it - I would highly recommend the Ginger Pig restaurant but make sure you book. Siam Park is great but like most commercial entertainment enterprises they allow too many people in which makes it crowded with long waiting times. Some parts felt a bit dated and stay away from Veronica's strip just down the road in Playa De America's - was quite shocking seeing that in the daylight. Make sure you drive up to Mount Teide. Would defo go backGuest review byAdrian CardooUnited Kingdom - 8.0

In July the water temperature was around 25 degrees Celsius. The sand was soft with traces of black in it. The best part was that we had no algee in th water like we had in Tenerife for example. That water was really clean and some waves (~1m) were also present from time to time. There was no shade except for some trees. Also, the foot showers worked well. We did not like the over 100 stairs we had to climb :)Guest review bymokmRomania - 10.0

It was our first visit to Corralejo and we weren't disappointed. There was something to do for everyone in the family: good beaches, reasonably priced restaurants and bars (most of them by the sea), lots of shops and markets, street entertainment, day trips and good walking opportunities. The locals are very friendly and welcoming, the streets are well lit up and the cars are very aware of the pedestrians so we felt very safe.Guest review byI GreenwoodUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I have not visited Maspalomas for about fifteen years, and headed for the Yumbo Centre, where most of the night life, bars and restaurants are. It has really deteorated, and looks very tired. The bars and restaurants are still good, but the actual framework of the centre needs serious investment.Quite scruffy overall.Guest review byPagrajoUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Second visit to Playa Blanca.
Second visit to Playa Blanca. The last time I visited was 9 years ago and I did think the area had deteriorated slightly - more litter on the streets, empty shops etc. Mainly restaurants in main area very few bars and the bars in the Papagayo centre either closed at 11.30pm or the later opening bars were few and far between. The Marina Rubicon area has improved with the opening of the big new Barcelo hotel and new restaurants etc "underneath" it.Guest review byAlysonUnited Kingdom
