We stayed a week in Zaragoza, but I wished we stayed longer.
We stayed a week in Zaragoza, but I wished we stayed longer. Here are some positive sides of Zaragoza - 1) Compared to some other more chaotic cities in Spain, Zaragoza is clean, quiet, safe and orderly, with well-run public transit. The city workers power-wash the streets religiously every day and take out residential trash every day (no sacks of trash piling up on the streets!). Very clean everywhere. 2) The smaller towns/cities around Zaragoza - Huesca, Tudela, Calatayud are really beautiful. The mountains are not far and Europe's most northern desert (the Royal Badlands National Park) is also close. 3) The city is equidistant to Madrid and Barcelona on the high speed rail line, so easy to access. 1.5 hour train ride to either Madrid or Barcelona. 4) Everything is much cheaper here than in Madrid or Barcelona.Guest review byAndrey - 10.0

We always stop overnight in Jaca whilst driving from Spain to the UK or visa versa as it is just off the motorway and has all the amenities you would need and is a lively, friendly place and the hotels are of a very high standard at a very good price.Guest review byTechno OrangeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A real gem: a small and very walkable city but with a lot to offer. Don't miss a visit to the aquaduct, the wall, the underground water tanks, the lovers mausoleum, San Pedro's church and tower, the museum and surely don't miss the wonderful patisserie from the Granier cafeteria! Teruel is a definitely worth a visit! And leaving Teruel it is worth to drive up to the Castle of Peracense and the lovely village of Albarracin.Guest review byCharlotteNew Zealand - 10.0

'Old' Ainsa is a relatively small but beautiful and interesting place. Our stay coincided with the end of their village festival, so there was plenty going on. On two nights we ate at a restaurant a couple doors down from the hotel, which specialised in pizzas but had many other options too - this was good, well-priced food, served very efficiently. We were based in Ainsa for quick access to the surrounding Pyrenees, and enjoyed two fabulous walks (Portal de la Cunarda and the Valle de Pineta). There's a large and cheap car park just outside the town walls (3 euros for 24hrs). There's also a very interesting bird of prey centre - museum and recovery centre - well worth a visit!Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love Huesca! This is a wonderful town.
I love Huesca! This is a wonderful town. This is not a place to visit art museums or do lots of sightseeing, but it's sweet and charming. It is nice to walk around with lots of restaurants and small shops. The Pyranees are about 45-60 minutes away and there are a few other sites within driving distance.Guest review byTracyUnited States - 10.0

Albarracín is one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, surrounded by dramatic landscapes, scenic hiking trails, and untouched nature. Its medieval architecture is truly breathtaking, and the local food was delicious. A must-visit for anyone who loves history, nature, and authentic Spanish charm.Guest review byNicholasAustralia - 10.0

I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail race. The race started and ended in Benasque. Benasque is a great base for outdoor activities (hiking, trail running, mountain biking) with many shops providing gear and support for your adventures. My friends who visited with me are not into outdoor adventures, but enjoyed the beautiful town, restaurants and bars immensely.Guest review byAndrewAustralia - 10.0

The weather in summer is nice, the view of mountains stunning. after we went for hiking on top of the mountain using the cable car which was an incredible hiking trips (we saw lakes on top of mountains and wild cows and horses), after we went down. we have taken a bath in the cold river next to the cable car station, it was very refreshing after a long hiking activity.Guest review byAdel 79Saudi Arabia - 10.0

Closest to the spectacular National Park of "Ordesa y Monte Perdido". This Park can compete with the best National Parks in the U.S.A. and China. Torla is a cute village and Broto with its cascade is close. You can also visit AINSA, one of the most beautiful villages of Spain and the Añisclo Canyon, with its microclimate and liquenes. Do not forget to visit also other glacier valleys in the area, outside the Park. The Park has a limit to the number of visitors per day and in the weekend the Guards of the Park may block the access if there are too many visitors.Guest review byPeterFrance
