Koblenz is a beautiful city with a lot to see.
Koblenz is a beautiful city with a lot to see. Has a number of castles and churches to visit, and excellent restaurants. A number of sights to visit throughout the city. Rented a car and drove to some castles of the many that are in the region. The city is safe to walk around. Numerous sights to see around the city, such as, Basilica St Castor, Liebfrauenkirche, Deutsches Eck; where the River Mosel and River Rhine come together and massive statute of Emperor Wilhelm i, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Schloss Stolzenfels, and Jesuitenplatz. City worthwhile to visit with a lot of sights to see.Guest review byJoseUnited States - 10.0
I walked around Trier and saw many things.
I walked around Trier and saw many things. One of my favorites was the cathedral and the adjoining basilica. I also was amazed at the Porta Nigra and Constantine’s basilica. The Hauptmarkt was a lot of fun to explore and enjoy the cafés. I had a great meal at one of the restaurants in the hauptmarkt, excellent German food and a great selection of beer. For anyone who likes to knit, as I do, Leyendecker bastelstube is a great place to buy yarn and lots of other craft materials.Guest review byJenniferBelgium - 8.0

A nice little town with a lovely castle but other than visiting the castle not much to do unless you are a hiker so would only recommend a short stay. Very little variance in for, too many pizza joints.Guest review byDouglasCanada - 8.0

Bernkastel is a small village, so it is easy to get around on foot. One day walk around and see it is more than enough. Within Bernkastel and within 10 minutes driving distance one can find exceptional wineries which offer wine tastings and tours.Guest review byLeonidasBelgium - 6.0

Beutiful city, restaurants with decent food, but rude service even though we comunicate in German. It was very clear that the locals (including the bussineses) are not happy with turists. I suspect even more hostility if you speak only English.Guest review bySebastianBelgium - 8.0

The city itself of Kaiserslautern is teeming with life downtown, and it's got plenty to do for fun and delicious food within a 15 minute walk from most hotels. Just don't cheap out on where you stay or you can get seriously jipped. We ate the best sushi I've had in Germany and visited the japanese garden. Very cool experience. Plus we walked through the square near the Saks hotel and shopped at the pop up farmer's market there.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
Worms is a city of historical significance, severely...
Worms is a city of historical significance, severely battered by WW2. The cathedral is impressive, the role Worms played in European Medieval history left some traces, and the city prides itself in the references made to it in the Nibelungen-legend. There is a monument commemorating the trial against Marten Luther in 1520, and the nice river front has a Nibelungen sculpture. This is a good one-day or mid-day stop-over for tourist with a deep interest in German and European history. But bear in mind that the area is rich in cities that offer similar significance but somehow have withstood the teeth of time a bit betterGuest review byFrankNetherlands - 8.0

If you have business in Mannheim, I would recommend not staying in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Sure they are only separated by the Rhein river but things could have been much easier in my case if I had found property in Mannheim. Do not take my word for it though, try it for yourself.Guest review byDan AnoItaly - 10.0
Lovely sleepy town just 2 minutes from the Nurburgring...
Lovely sleepy town just 2 minutes from the Nurburgring entrance. A couple of great restaurants just off the main road, and many hotels that looked lovely (I stayed at Apex which was amazing). One word of warning - they have an 'air raid siren' to call the volunteer firefighters to action in the event of an emergency. As Brits, we did not know this and it wasn't mentioned to us, so we panicked when we heard it twice in one night. Given the current situation with Russia, we were a little worried. Once you know what it is though, it's fine.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom
