Cuxhaven is a lovely beach town if one wants to stroll and relax. There are just so many walking and hiking trails along the coast and in wildlife parks throughout the area. the city itself is really pretty with lovely roads, beautiful homes, clean neighborhoods and a very delightful city center. the Kugel bake, Alte Liebe, Dicke Berta, Duhnen Strand, Schloss Ritzebüttel were really pleasant to visit. Food and views at the Beach House were just fantastic!Guest review bySachitGermany - 10.0

Two excellent museums, especially the maritime only a seven minute walk from apartment. Separately a WW II restored U Boat. Very nice small zoo plus Klima Haus, a major attraction. All within walking distance. Delphi Greek Restaurant a short walk is wonderful and amazingly inexpensive( a dinner for six with a drink each, 125 Euros.Guest review byHerrington - 10.0

Seaside resort offering lots of options for spending free times; It is definitely worth taking a boat trip to the island of Helgoland. From restaurants I would recommend Ralfs, next to the hotel Haus am Meer (I recommend booking in advance) or Trattoria restaurant, which is about 700m from Haus am Meer. And definitely don't forget the fish in a bun :-), the closest and excellent one is by the dam, 2min from Haus am MeerGuest review byAlesCzech Republic - 10.0

I recommend it to All, but of course it depends what you want to do or what you are interested. I love hiking/tracking and doing sports. If someone loves just lying on the beach it may not be perfect or not perfect in this time of the year. I am saying it must be visited at once.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0

I suppose Bremerhaven has plenty of nice museums to visit and the Harbor is nicely refurbished into a modern area. The town simply misses a vibe that it could have being this close to the sea. The rebuilding directly after WW2, has been just as life-less and uninspiring like in so many cities in Germany.. Time for a change perhaps.Guest review byJean-PaulNetherlands
