I wish I can stay one more day.
I wish I can stay one more day. We were there two days and booked the paragliding twice and was cancelled due to raining. But the town has so much to see and we can only hit a small part of it. I will definitely go back again if I ever travel back to Switzerland.Guest review byLaiUnited States - 10.0

Great place to visit. Two days are enough in summer. By half day pass and kids under 15 will go free. Check with live camera first and best is to leave early as later in the evening the clouds can ruin the viewGuest review byFaridUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A small cute town located in the mountain area with a great view of the mountains and closer to the cable rides to take to go to the mountain top. All shops coops stores pharmacy closes by 8pm. Not much options for food delivery. A very silent town with no pubs or bars with music.Guest review bySUNNYFrance - 10.0

It's for relaxing, not busy, use the place as a starting point to the different valleys...and if you have time, take the "expresstrain (do not get off for picking flowers...)" for a nice travel to Domodossola. A place not to be missed. Just one recommendation: Go there out of Summerseason (mid June to end August) it will simple be to hot.... Use the Ticino Ticket if you get one from the hotel, it's worth the money.Guest review byWernerSwitzerland - 10.0

We were there for the Montreux Jazz Festival and also did Roche the Naze, Mont Pelerrin, castle Chillon and the old Town which was really spectacular. The festival is a must do and hopefully we can return. We dined at Safran in the Mona Hotel excellent. The Fouquet at the casino- could do better, and also Montreux Jazz Cafe. Trianon in Mt Pelerrin which were all good. Lots of little cafes and patisseries. Most enjoyable for the first time- full of life and kind people.Guest review byPerpetuaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lauterbrunnen is a good place to base yourself for the Jungfrau region. It has an excellent train service to various places, by train and cable car. The Coop shop had lots of choice for your evening meal, plus there are many restaurants and bars to choose from too. The town was very clean and pretty with flower boxes at many of the windows. The Information Centre is very close to the train station. The trains were amazing - they ran on time to the minute, and were clean and comfortable. The many waterfalls, and in particular the thunderous Trummelbach Falls on the outskirts of the town were outstanding. You can climb up into the Staubbach falls from the town park. The town has an outdoor swimming pool but we were too busy to try it out. An important thing to stress is, if you can buy a travel pass, it will save you money. Its just knowing which one to get that is tricky.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
It’s picturesque and nice to walk around.
It’s picturesque and nice to walk around. The highlight was the Bündner Kunstmuseum which was fantastic. Eating options a bit limited, and opening times of restaurants / shops seemed a bit hit and miss. Chur is very expensive.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing alternative to Interlaken.
Amazing alternative to Interlaken. I felt the hotels were more beautiful and a better value. Less tourism, so our visit was met with so much more enthusiasm vs. Interlaken, where lots of tourism seems to be met with annoyance by the locals. Loved Thun. So beautiful and peaceful. Just a short 30 min train ride to Interlaken.Guest review byNoemiUnited States - 8.0

We did not realize that May is a slow shoulder month when many facilities are closed including the gondola. We only ate out once and that was upon our arrival. The two evenings and full day there, we purchased food from the market and prepared in our townhouse. We had a lovely walk around the lake and attended the only open art museum which was really good (Segantini Museum).Guest review byLeanneUnited States - 10.0

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.Guest review byJeanetteSwitzerland
