I grew up in the Kingston area and will travel there to visit family throughout the year. I love the city, love being able to show it to my partner and discovering new things about the city. I often recommend it as a destination location to friends who may be planning a trip to Montreal or Ottawa from Toronto, and encourage them to spend some time in Kingston.Guest review byStewartCanada - 10.0

The area is Beautiful, lots to do and see. It was hard to find restaurants on the water, only a few and you cannot trust the reviews people all have opinions most are not accurate. We were interested in a dinner cruise, could not find any info on such.Guest review byAlCanada - 10.0

Begin with the visitor's centre for a map and update on all things in Brockville - they had many great suggestions. My top picks: The underground railroad, then follow the Waterfront Trail to the Museum (it was Great!) and continue on the Waterfront Trail for a lovely walk. Do not miss the Aquatarium. Take a walk around the downtown area to see many important historic buildings. For dinner, make a reservation at Buell Street Bistro - we had a wonderful meal and excellent service while sitting in their outdoor patio.Guest review byDianaCanada - 10.0

The scenery was spectacular; the boat trip just the right length and the tour guide informative. Boldt Castle and its surroundings are beautiful. A very pretty town, which seems largely unspoiled. As a visitor from England, I only wish I could visit more often!Guest review byMacGregorUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Watertown is close to 1000 islands, which is a beautiful stretch of the St Lawrence river. We drove through, but we are sure there are beautiful hikes to explore and of course if you have a boat, it is a paradiseGuest review byRobertCanada - 10.0

Ogdensburg is the home of the Fredrick Remington Museum , which is well worth visiting if you like painting and sculpture. The town is located on the south shore of the St Lawrence seaway, which is very scenic and near a bridge to Canada. I was on my way to Quebec City, and stopping in Ogdensburg to visit the museum was well worth the time.Guest review byLindaUnited States - 10.0
Kingston was a surprise to us in a good way.
Kingston was a surprise to us in a good way. We were en route back to Toronto airport and had passed through on our way through originally to Ottawa/Montreal /Quebec and beyond. We didn't know about the 1000 Island National Park so it was a delightful surprise to find out more on the 3 hour river cruise. The independent book shop was a wee gem as are the adirondeck chairs scattered around. With family in Quebec we would consider coming back this way next time and seeing more of the city's fascinating history. Great coffee shops &ice cream.Guest review byMcCrumUnited Kingdom
