Free parking right in front of the door. Easy street access. Grocery store right next door. Gas bar across the street. There was someone present in the office. Very tiny tub (only good for a child). Size ok as a shower base.Guest review byHelenCanada - 10.0

Our host Leslie was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area for things to do. Our room was well appointed. Breakfast was superb. There was coffee and tea available 24 hours. We would most definitely recommend staying at Twin Peaks to anyone.Guest review byAmanda - 8.0

Great variety of beaches, some sandy, some stoney, but all with beautiful, warm, clear water. Lovely boardwalks along the harbour front marinas. Wonderful destination for sailors. Several good hikes. Only the main highway through the island has shoulders ample for cyclists.Guest review byKarenCanada - 4.0

We chose our motel listing as it said Restaurant attached, however, it was not open. We were given the menu at checkin and told to call the establishment to let them know when we would come for breakfast or dinner, but the restaurant was always closed, we never saw anyone eating there, and when we went to the office at 7:00 PM to return the menu (1/2 of which we were told at check in was no longer available) all of the office doors were locked and there was no reply when we knocked. ( sign said office was open until 10:00). We decided then to eat our meals elsewhere on the island for the rest of our stay. There was nowhere else to eat at providence bay -all restaurants closed! (we were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving Thursday after Labour Day) The bakery was opening on Friday for weekend guests, and The fish and chip restaurant was closed as well (open only for Saturday and Sunday) the only other place open was a tiny business which sold Jamaican JERK food. There was ice cream available there and pre-wrap snacks.Guest review bycarolynCanada - 8.0
Nice place to visit.
Nice place to visit. There are nice places for hiking, swimming but almost all the side roads are not paved. Two full days would probably be enough. Make sure you reserve the ferry in advance because you might not get the time you want. There are some restaurants and Tim Hortons, nice chocolate shop in Kagawong, Gore Bay. All travel information could be found on line or in visitor centre.Guest review byOksanaCanada - 10.0

Mindemoya is a nice place and basically in the centre of Manitoulin Island so other towns were relatively close. There was a great restaurant next to the Manitoulin Inn that we ate at. The only downfall was that it was pretty much the only restaurant in town. Too bad there weren't more places to eat and nowhere to get breakfast!Guest review byDouglasCanada - 8.0

We took day trips from Providence Bay to the other parts of Manitoulin Island but didn't visit the Providence Bay beach. Our favourite places are Bridal Veil Falls and The Cup and Saucer Hiking Trail.Guest review byChristinaCanada - 10.0

Little Current is a nice little town with a lovely waterfront trail. There is a nice spot for viewing sunsets in the park next to the marina. There are some nice hiking trails within a 30 to 40 minute drive, both on the island and on the mainland near Whitefish River. We were there in early October, the perfect time for hiking, due to comfortable temperatures, fall colours, and not having to contend with mosquitoes.Guest review byDouglasCanada - 10.0

Excellent value for the money and better than expected given the off-the-beaten track location. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. There were enough electric outlets in sensible locations. The air-conditioning was easy to operate and sufficiently powered for the room. Towels and linens were clean and supplied in sufficient quantity. We LOVED that there was enough coffee for a second little pot to make a coffee for the road on our way. On a drive across country where we stayed at 12 different roadside motels this was the best.Guest review byLindaCanada - 10.0

It was our first visit, to see the rest of the island you need transport. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we plan to return. But due to Covid there was no restaurants open for dine in. Or closed for the season. We visited beginning of October.Guest review byHelenCanada
