The view from the apartment was amazing, so much nature and peace. The apartment per se was very new, well equipped and had a good kitchen area. The front porch was a nice area to relax for a bit. We also really appreciated the washing machine and dryer and free detergent.

We loved the Paradox hotel. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations - the room was fabulous - plenty of space and had everything we could possibly need. The welcome on arrival was warm and the advice from concierge Andrew was excellent and really helped us make the most of our time in Vancouver. The location of the hotel was perfect -plenty of shops & restaurants close by, a short walk to Coal Harbour and it was easy to get everywhere we needed to go in Vancouver from the Paradox.

We booked the “partial view” apartment and the view was actually spectacular! The apartment was a great size and nicely decorated with all the amenities including washing and dryer. The staff are also very welcoming and I had a superb seafood signature bowl/chowder at The Currents restaurant with another beautiful view.

    The public transportation is amazing.

The public transportation is amazing. Everything was accessible by public transit if you are in downtown, or within a short walking distance. Biking through Stanley Park was an amazing experience, with beautiful views and easy-to-follow bike paths. There are many food places downtown Vancouver for everyone to try. We visited hidden speakeasy's which was a great activity for a young couple. Downtown has some sketchy areas (like all downtowns), so if you are not used to that, then there are some areas to avoid. We took a day trip up to Lynn Canyon, which was accessible by public transit. It was beautiful, free, and nice to be out of the city for a day. We got to see the celebration of lights on English Bay and then walked back to the hotel with a giant crowd of people, which was also another amazing experience. There is a lot to do in Vancouver, and I definitely want to go back. It is very, very expensive, but it is worth it. We used public transit and walked most places to save some money.

Golden is a charming small city located not too far from Edmonton. Though it has a small population, it offers big adventures—especially at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, which is a must-visit. Visitors can enjoy scenic chairlift and gondola rides, and at the top, there's even a Grizzly Bear habitat. You can walk along secured trails with barricades and safely observe the grizzly bear in its natural mountain environment. It’s a unique and unforgettable experience for nature and wildlife lovers. The Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, located about a 15‑minute drive north of Golden, BC, is an engaging destination for wildlife and conservation enthusiasts. A 25-minute guided presentation at the enclosures covers wolf behavior, conservation, why they howl, and their ecological role. $15 per person and is a Cash only facility. ATM is available with a 3% surcharge on withdrawals.

I love the many interesting shops in Penticton.

I love the many interesting shops in Penticton. I also like the beach, more for the view than for swimming. There are lovely gardens, a great art gallery, fantastic food for dairy-free/gluten-free including Gratify (on Main Street) and Dosa Vilas (Power Street/Westminster). I highly recommend them both. Fantastic market on Saturday.
