Beaches beyond magnificent. Natural beauties, beautiful sunsets. Good food, nice restaurants. What I didn't like about Zakynthos is that it is very touristic. Tsilivi has been a family favourite for nearly 20 years. The beaches, restaurants and nightlife are great. You can go to a quiet area or if you want a more lively atmosphere the town has it all. Small village with plenty of choice of eateries, bars and mainly tourust shops. Not the best beach in Zante but nice enough if you're lucky enough to bag one of the limited good spots. Kalamki strip is about a mile long with plenty of choice of cafes/bars/cocktail bars/sports bars/restaurants mainly on each side of the street. There are lots of opportunities to book excursions, hire bikes/cars etc from the businesses along the strip. The beach is about a 15-20 walk. Buses run along the strip to take you to other resorts e.g Laganas (which you can walk to approx 40 mins) or e.g to Zante Town. Taxi ranks available. There is an excellent adventure golf facility with 2 x 18 hole courses (quite challenging), approx 150 metres from the main road, which are managed and run by D and B's Restaurant - which incidentally serves an appetising range of food and drinks and is best known for its ribs!Guest review byLynneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Amoudi is such a friendly place and will make you want to yearn to come back again and again .It is a quiet place but will make you welcome and is a beach lovers paradise .Plenty of good quality places to dine out at reasonable prices. Met numerous people who were regulars at the resort and I can understand why they come back again and again. I am hoping to do the same myself at my earliest opportunity and will advise other friends to do the same. If you like a quieter holiday, which has everything you need in the way of restaurants, shops, cocktail bars, beach etc... then Alykes is right for you. We loved it there. There is a lovely restaurant at the end of the Main Street in Amouda - the Grill house, which overlooks the sea where you can enjoy delicious food including traditional Greek dishes. Good selection of restaurants at fair prices, Greccos for fresh fish was superb and plenty of places served authentic Greek dishes. We found that 'free wine' was best avoided although the food was good! Costa's on the beach was very good and Shoestring further down the coast is well worth a visit. The Mitsos Hotel welcomes visitors and has a large swimming pool and refreshments served to sunbeds for anyone who goes there - all you have to do is buy refreshments at reasonable prices. This seems to apply to all places with a pool and sunbeds. The hire car was a mixed blessing as the satnav had to be paired with my mobile phone and sat coverage is partial. Driving at night on unlit mountain roads with the few signposts in Greek is not relaxing.Guest review byGregUnited Kingdom
