Paris is always wonderful. So much to see, not enough time.
Paris is always wonderful. So much to see, not enough time. Learning the Metro system is essential for covering the city. A Navigo card can be easily reloaded as many times as you need it. However the city is very crowded in the summer. I recommend visiting in September, or early October to avoid lines at the great sites.Guest review bybarbara angela weberUnited States - 10.0
The apartment is clean, well equipped and convenient for...
The apartment is clean, well equipped and convenient for Metro Line 3, a large supermarket and local bistros. There is also a scattering of take away vans near the station that look well used by the locals. One in particular - based around a London bus - appears to have a large screen where many gather to watch football (soccer). We used this as a base for exploring Paris, rather than visiting Bagnolet, but could see plenty of places in the area where we would have liked to spend time had we not been trying to cram so much of central Paris into our stay. Père Lachaise cemetery is only 3 stops away, for those who would like to pay their respects to the likes of Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde and Edith Piav. Metro Line 3 offers a convenient gateway to Paris, as well as an easy route to Gare du Nord and the Eurostar, or train link to CDG. Gare du Nord has a luggage drop facility that allows you to leave your bags to let you squeeze every last moment of your final hours in this amazing city, unencumbered by luggage.Guest review byAntheaUnited Kingdom - 2.0

this property is not suitable for human living. it is even worst than third world countries. Electric currents in entire bathroom with water running around, abusive and nonsense manager, property is in dangerous condition, tons of mosquitoes, heaters are also giving you intermittent shocks, all the furniture is absolutely rubbish. we left the property with life threatening danger and with absurd manager. Our vacation is spoiled completely. we have to call emergency 112 to secure us and finally able to came out from this property, walked many kilometers in a rainy cold day to move to another accommodation with premium payment. it will be not shame to say that Booking.com is running a scam by promoting such hazardous property with higher ranking. totally worthless.Guest review byRajeshGermany - 8.0
I loved the fact that room was very warm, it's amazing!
I loved the fact that room was very warm, it's amazing! The location is very convenient, since it's close to metro and buses. But the photos didn't really match the reality (they were taken some years ago for sure). The room just need a little fresh touch and better cleaning (the floor cover had stains). But overall, it was a nice stay.Guest review byAlla L.Portugal - 10.0

There are plentiful shops, restuarants, pharmacies, bakers, banking, grocery and clothing options. The metro stops in Saint Mande- M1 train. I recommend La Fraternite restuarant. Also La Tourvelle is excellent. The area brasseries are all quite nice. The Balmer Boulangerie (bakery) is excellent as is B Bakery. The fruit and juice stand across from the Balmer and near hotel Le Ruisseau is excellent (fresh squeezed smoothies 5 euros? Le Ruisseau is an exccelent choice for lodging.Guest review byHarryUnited States - 10.0
For this second visit, I gathered the following:
For this second visit, I gathered the following: One museum per day is best to appreciate the city's culture Allow time to get lost in neighborhoods outside the city's centre Jardin du Luxembourg and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont are more enjoyable than the Jardin des Tuileries Trying both local and international cuisine is a must. It was fantastic tasting food from former territories of the French Empire European summers are getting much hotter. A/C is kind of required now. I would still recommend visiting Europe in either April or October instead Pay attention to metro stations. Some are better adjusted for those traveling with luggage than others. Avoid as much as possible Gare du Nord and Chatelet-Les Halles And as usual, keep practicing your French. Most can speak basic English but a lot of signs, even in museums, will still be exclusively written in French.Guest review byVictorUnited States - 8.0

It's a great option for budget travellers with easy access to public transport including metro and bus. The surrounding area is a bit rough around the edges, but there is a mall across the street which is very convenient for picking up necessities and snacks. The restaurant in the building has lots of options and is not too pricey.Guest review byRobert PowersCanada - 10.0

A village with real character and yet very close to the city of Paris with excellent shops and restaurants. a Carrefour, Vanilla bakery and numerous little cafes. The corner cafe/ restaurant 'Villa Saint Gervais' on the corner of Place du General Leclerc was our go-to place for refreshments and superb meals. my favourite boutique: BisBis, on Rue Andre Joineau for an eclectic selection of accessories and clothes. There is a good offer of public transport connections and a bicycle hire pickup-station nearby.Guest review bySimoneUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Our room was in the first level.
Our room was in the first level. Although there were some noises from the street, closing the window eliminated all of them. The room's facilities and equipment were fine for even more than a one-week trip, as we did. Polite and friendly staff was the other positive point. Comfort beds and private bath.Guest review byMehrdad - 10.0
I love Paris in the fall. I love Paris in the summer.
I love Paris in the fall. I love Paris in the summer. I love Paris. I was very impressed with the genuine efforts Parisians are making these days to make visitors feel welcome. It is a totally different city from what I remember. Paris has become a much more international city without loosing his French charm. There are treasures for everyone. We visited the David Hockney and the Wolfgang Tillman’s exhibitions. We walked everywhere and sat down at numerous terrasses to watch the world go by. We had the best time of our lives.Guest review byBeatriceUnited States
