Really nice and accomodating staff. The front desk personnel was very kind and forgiving of a bumbling traveller. Ulvi, one of the workers, made me feel absolutely at home. He was kind, made suggestions, chatted with me at breakfast and was just a generally chill dude who made me feel so so so comfortable. The facilities themselves are so nice - like most of Azerbaijani cities, it combines a sense of the old with the new and i absolutely adore it. all the accents and art and pictures on the walls made me feel like i wasnt just a guy in a hotel. No - it made me feel like a man on an adventure and this place was my reprieve from the hot summer days and exhausting summer nights. I hope one day to come back and experience Gəncə again and, if I do, i will come back to the Old City Hotel. Great work guys!

The hotel is located in the center of the city. Both the reception and the room service staff are friendly, and they always have a smile on their face. During our stay, they brought a surprise birthday cake for my daughter at breakfast, which was a very nice gesture. The rooms are good-sized, the bed was comfortable, and their room service was top-notch.
