Being surrounded by nature and waking up to the sound of birds was a much needed peaceful retreat for my husband and I.The kitchen was well stocked with all you need. The walk in closet made it easy to store our luggage.The host Mariaan was absolutely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are neat and comfortable. Property is close to shops and restaurants. I will definitely be coming back.

I checked late at 9:00 pm local time. The host was awake and ready to welcome. The entrance gates to hotel compound were automatically operated so it was very safe. The entire place was booked but there was no noise from other guests. There was hot water available at all times. And a fire place to keep you warm. The host was always available for any help. Host permitted me to check in late and check out late too. The area around the cottages was huge and well maintained.

Featuring a garden and views of lake, Little Fields Country House and Cottages is a recently renovated guest house located in Howick, 5.9 km from Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve. The cottage is lovely and cosy, equipped with a fireplace, beautifully decorated bedrooms, a charming bathroom with an outdoor shower that makes you feel like being in your own private little jungle. The hosts were super kind and helped us a lot with recommendations around hikes in the Drakensberg mountains or good places for eating out. And not to forget the freshly baked muffins with butter and jam that awaited us every morning. Would always come back!

Located in Nottingham Road, 30 km from Bosch Hoek Golf Club, Hawklee Country House provides accommodation with a hot tub, wellness packages and beauty services. The place was unreal. So beautiful with the river rushing through trees. The bed was completely luxurious and the attention to detail outstanding. The biscuits given with tea were home made, as were the scented shower bombs - just amazing. I asked for a takeaway breakfast which Tanya happily provided which was delicious. One of the best places I've stayed in South Africa. Would 100% go back.

The Midlands Protea is set in Howick, 2 km from Howick Falls, 5.1 km from Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve, as well as 8.2 km from Midmar Dam. I liked everything, the linen was very comfortable and clean, host was amazing

Beautiful location on the river. Very close to Michaelhouse and the beauty of the midlands. Owners super lovely.

Located in Hilton, the recently renovated 43 on Bergview provides accommodation 7.9 km from Queen Elizabeth Park Nature Reserve and 10 km from Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve. Bergview is a modern B & B with under cover parking and a nice big swimming pool.It is on route to the Midlands Meander and very close to the shops in Hilton. The hosts were welcoming and we definitely recommend this lovely self catering unit. Loved our stay ❤️
