Several minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Building and rooms were cleaned and maintained daily. Masa was very friendly, accommodating, and helped me find several places in Kyoto that I enjoyed going to very much. I made repeated visits to two of the places (a local bar and the bathhouse) that were recommended to me and was very happy with the recommendations. I came away with a very positive impression of the place and would very happily come back to stay there again if/when I return to visit Kyoto.

Located in the centre of Kyoto, 雅 is a recently renovated accommodation, which provides soundproof rooms. The air-conditioned accommodation is less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station. The guest house features family rooms. great location! About 5 minutes walk to tsujiki market, train station and bus stops. Walking distance from several famous shrines and temples, and a lot of local eateries within walking distance as well. Great beer just down the road too. Host is extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive even late at night. Was extremely lucky to get a room here during peak season considering they have a total of only four rooms. Rooms here are also more spacious than many hotels I've stayed at in kyoto and Japan in general. Will definitely come back!

She is very welcoming and always ready to help you if you have any questions or problems. We felt like home from the beginning. The place itself has everything that you need, is very comfortable and located in a beautiful area next to a beautiful temple and a nice area to stroll around. On top you get to experience sleeping on a futon which is way more comfortable than we expected! We recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Kyoto and would definitely come again! They went out of their way to make us feel at home, and even cut us fruits to eat when we go back from a long day of exploring Kyoto. Very central location yet quiet enough away from the main street.

Emiko and her family had great English and the inn was very welcoming and comfortable. I was even driven to Kyoto station once my stay was complete which was a great help. Excellent value for money and a ideal location to see many nearby temples and shrines. Lots of nature sightseeing opportunities close by as well. I highly recommend a stay at Kyo-Anthu Inn!

It's simply a place where you get the experience to meet new people and peer into their lives, given the chance. I've been lucky to meet Emily, Blanca, Eze, Sato-san, Chen and especially Tony, I won't ever forget this experience i've had during my stay. I've made a lot of good memories here, and I'll be visiting again for sure during my next stay in Kyoto ! I wish Tony, his wife, and everyone else i met here the best that I can wish for in life, and I look forward to meeting you guys again, hopefully soon !
