Several minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Building and rooms were cleaned and maintained daily. Masa was very friendly, accommodating, and helped me find several places in Kyoto that I enjoyed going to very much. I made repeated visits to two of the places (a local bar and the bathhouse) that were recommended to me and was very happy with the recommendations. I came away with a very positive impression of the place and would very happily come back to stay there again if/when I return to visit Kyoto.

Located in the centre of Kyoto, 雅 is a recently renovated accommodation, which provides soundproof rooms. The air-conditioned accommodation is less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station. The guest house features family rooms. A traditional Japanese house, newly renovated while preserving its historic charm and in Kyoto‘s prime location. The host was very friendly and helpful and we were also offered to use his bicycles! We loved staying in our room. It was spaceous, super clean and cosy.

She is very welcoming and always ready to help you if you have any questions or problems. We felt like home from the beginning. The place itself has everything that you need, is very comfortable and located in a beautiful area next to a beautiful temple and a nice area to stroll around. On top you get to experience sleeping on a futon which is way more comfortable than we expected! We recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Kyoto and would definitely come again! Everything was perfect👌🏼 We booked the smaller room but because the other one was free at the time, we got the bigger one and could use the bath and kitchen all by ourselves. Haruka and her husband were super friendly and welcoming! They gave us a lot of information about Kyoto 😊 We would recommend it to everyone!

She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The host (Tony) is a really nice guy with a lot of knowledge about the area and loves to talk and give recommendations.
