This is really a wonderful place, super clean, cozy but with good common areas, amazing comfortable beds and warm at night. Safe location and easy to walk up the nearby hill right into the center of downtown Castro. It was always very quiet here, especially at night. A nice experience to stay in a palofito (stick house).

The location was amazing. Literally like 1 minute to the coast from the hostel(walking) and only a few blocks from the artisanal market and to the towns’ busy area. The house was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. The host Raúl was very intelligent, well mannered, and informative. Though, I didn’t use it, he offers tours in his Hostel (penguins, the town, etc). Very good communication with him and he recommended us good places to eat and where to visit within Ancud and where to go afterwards. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was perfect. Private parking available upon request. Central AC in the house, so we slept nice and warm.

I really liked this hostel. It's clean, comfy and warm and is in a great location. The staff are super friendly and are really helpful too - one of the guys spent ages talking me through how to visit the churches by public transpor, and they have loads of information about trips/excursions! It was quiet when I was there but the staff created a great atmosphere.

We had room 8 with a beautiful view and a private terrace. We spent our entire rest day here enjoying the restful atmosphere and watching the tide go in and out. We made use of the lovely common spaces in the hostel as well. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Chile, with hearty homemade seed bread, fresh fruit and yogurt, and eggs made to order. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

The hosts were amazing.They made us feel at home.My husband springed his ankle.Sandrita gave us some cream ace bandage and her husband made pizza for us.We have been traveling from LA For almost 1 year.They went over and beyond what anyone had done for us.We give them 10+.She made coffee and tea and keep it on a table outside our rooms.AMAZING

Matatagpuan sa Ancud, ang El Urco Chiloé - Hostal y Cabaña ay naglalaan ng hardin at libreng WiFi sa buong accommodation. Kasama sa bawat kuwarto ang patio na may mga tanawin ng hardin. I loved my stay here. The room was huge and comfortable. Lots of covers, sheets, duvets to keep you warm. Very quiet area, perfect for a good sleep. The view from the room was super nice - looked out over the water and the cemetery. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, etc and the basic cooking supplies were very helpful (Oil, salt). There was tea and coffee available which is also a nice touch. Bathrooms were well, hot shower, clean, well stocked. I would recommend staying here. And only a ten min walk to the bus station !
