Located in Klipdrift, 15 km from Dinokeng Game Reserve, Thorn Tree Bush Camp provides accommodation with pool with a view, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. This 4-star campground offers full-day security and a minimarket. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. At the campground, some units have a private entrance, dining area, fireplace and oven. A patio with an outdoor dining area and pool views is offered in some units. The units at the campground are equipped with a seating area. If you would rather not eat out, you can make use of the kitchenette facilities. The campground features a children's playground and a picnic area.

As a family we enjoy the outdoors and nature. With every opportunity we spend it where we can get away from the stressful life to relax and enjoy what God gave us. We've been to a great part of South Africa. and various places around the world and enjoyed experiencing the cultures, people and tastes of each place. (Outside Africa we saw a little bit of : New Zealand, Australia, England, France, Belguim, Argentina, Indonesia, Cook Islands, Hawaii & the East) (Inside Africa : South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Botswana & Malawi)

Thorn Tree Bush Camp is 4 star TGCSA graded and located inside Dinokeng Game Reserve. We bought it as a weekend breakaway, which was also within a comfortable travel distance from the city. After staying here for a couple of times, we decided that we would like to share our little piece of Bushveld with others. It is peaceful, tranquil and relaxing for a weekend and longer. Thorn Tree Bush Camp is about 100 km from OR Tambo International Airport and about 60km from Pretoria.

Within Dinokeng various activities are available on request, bookings essential, T&C apply. Activities such as : Bush Walks; Boat Cruises (depends on water level); Game Drives; Microlight Flights; Cultural Tours; Hot Air Ballooning; Picnic Spots; Restaurants & Self Drive Routes. Pretoria being the closest city (60km away) offers beautiful places to visit, the Union Building, Voortrekker Monument, Fort Klapperkop Military Museum, SAAF Museum, National Zoological Gardens of South Africa, The Blue Train, Museum of Natural History, Botanical Garden, other Nature Reserves (Groenkloof, Rietvlei, Wonderboom), Loftus Versfeld Stadium, big Malls (Menlyn & Brooklyn), etc. Cullinan is also a good tourist attraction to visit - The Diamond Museum, restaurants, antique shops, etc. Hartebeespoortdam offers a wide variety of cultural stalls, restaurants, The De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre (also known as Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre), etc. The Cradle of Humankind is one of eight World Heritage Sites in South Africa, and the only one in Gauteng. It is widely recognised as the place from which all of humankind originated.
