After 2 weeks of traveling Japan with our two kids and stopping at hotels, this house was our opportunity to get embedded into "real" Japanese life - doing groceries, some cooking, etc. We loved the experience, and the house is just fabulous - spacious, beautiful, with all infrastructure you need. We can highly recommend this place for families!

Situated in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Nijo Castle and 500 metres from the centre, 谷町君 星屋 神泉ノ宿 二条城 features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. The location was great. It is near 3 train stations Shijo-Omiya, Nijo station and Nijojo-mae station (all under 1KM walk). Shinsenen-mae bus stop is only 100m away. There are many nice eateries around with many large supermarkets, LIFE at Nijo station, Seiyu Sanjo (300m) away as well as Fresco (300m) away. The apartment is also sparkly clean and new unlike some of the comments from the past. The staff at the counter were great and super responsive. There is a folder on the instructions to operate the appliances in the apartment. The coffee capsules given were superb, better than some of those stall bought coffee. We checked in in the evening and was able to enter the apartment without any help. The management sent a detailed video on how to operate the digital key lock prior to check in. The pricing of this apartment was pricey but worth every penny. Will certainly recommend to our friends and family!

An amazing shower room with all supplies, bathrobes. Super comfortable bed and duvets. A small laundry room where clothes dry in minutes. The staff was very helpful and communicative.

In the Ukyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 谷町君・星屋・談山旅館 京都嵐山 has a garden and a washing machine. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The staff waited for us to arrive and assist us with check-in even though we forgot to update them on our arrival timing. The room itself was really nice and comfortable, facilities and heating was really good. Staff was very friendly and the interior design of the room was very traditionally Japanese.

In the Minami Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kyoto Station, Kyoto Villa Kotone has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a balcony. The house was spacious but had a cozy feeling so it felt really comfortable to be in. Also the floor layout had a good balance of features from older houses and modern ones.
