Located in Saint-François and with Mancellinier Beach reachable within a few steps, Hôtel La Christophine has concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a restaurant. The location was perfect for exploring Grande Terre. The rooms were lovely; the pool area divine. The breakfast (and the dinners) were great value, served with attention and care. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, helping us to plan our two weeks in Guadeloupe, and showing great patience with our limited language skills (primarily English, with only a bit of French.) When our travel plans to Marie Galante were disrupted, their help was essential to keeping our vacation on track.

Offering amazing views of Saint-Anne Bay, La Toubana Hotel & Spa has a beautiful beachside setting. It features suites and bungalows with sea views, an outdoor swimming pool and a spa. This was our second time staying in La Toubana (bungalow with Sea view) and it was, as always, exceptional. The hotel photos do not do justice to how amazing this place is.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Made us feel very comfortable on our arrival and gave us lots of useful information about places to see and visit. Setting was lovely.

Featuring free WiFi and a hot tub, Hostellerie des châteaux offers pet-friendly accommodations in Pointe des châteaux, 20 mi from Le Gosier. Host greeted us warmly with a glass of planter punch. Helped us book restaurants, find good beaches, book tours...did everything he could to make us comfortable. Breakfast was HUGE. More than we could eat. Only time I've gotten a full pot of coffee and wife got a full pot of tea (and hot milk) and we've travelled the world. Natasha managed to both serve us breakfast and clean our rooms at the same time. (So we went back to a perfect bungalow with clean floors and made beds.) Only five bungalows, so always quiet. Wall and an electronic gate so felt super safe. Beautiful pool (very big and clean) with an attached jacuzzi spa. Birds (including humming birds), a friendly cat, a range of cool bugs and lizards--this was close to nature but with every possible convenience (we had coffee in the room, a microwave, refrigerator, and a stove). Absolutely the nicest place we've been in the Caribbean. Would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Guadeloupe.

Located in Deshaies, a 7-minute walk from Grande Anse Beach, Caraib'Bay Hotel has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The location in Deshaies within walking distance of the Grande Anse beach is ideal. The hotel is well situated for exploring further up the coast of Basse Terre towards Sainte Rose. It was a short drive to the gorgeous beaches of Les Amandiers and La Perle. The lush property is gorgeous and the pool is perfect for cooling off or just hanging around if you want a quieter day, however there are mosquitos. The included breakfast at the beautiful outdoor patio was good and was a continental style with fruit, granola, toast, cheeses and sliced meats, buns, homemade cake, juices, coffee, fresh pastries, local jams, yoghurt and pancakes one morning. Scrambled eggs and espresso coffee were available for a fee. I asked if lactose-free or plant based milk was available and they had soy milk. This is picky but another option like almond, oat or lactose-free cow milk would be appreciated. The staff and owner Christophe who we met are super friendly and eager to please. It was nice to see that Christophe rolled up his sleeves and did shifts alongside his staff. They did make efforts to speak English which was appreciated and was on par with our French and we were able to communicate just fine. They have put together binders in French and English of things to do and recommended restaurants which was a nice touch and they were eager to answer questions and help guests make reservations if necessary. Any issues we had were quickly resolved with a smile. Guests also receive a welcome cocktail upon check-in which was also great. The two-level villas are great for families and there were lots of families with young kids there during our visit due to a school holiday in France. We were a couple and this arrangement would be have been great for us when our kids were small. There are free ranging chickens and roosters as well as a few resident cats roaming the property which added to the atmosphere.
