Peachy City of Historic Importance

Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it is the home of the barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.

Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping centre in the old underground railway.

Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its north-east is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters which offer behind-the-scenes tours. Opposite is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.

In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.

More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.

    Love my hometown city. Something for everyone to explore and experience. I love all sports teams (Falcons, Braves, Hawks, Atlanta Football Club -soccer, nany more) Try to go as much as possible. Go visit.

At your hotel, restaurant, malls, events, and Atlanta Braves Truist Park stadium safe very nice. Atlanta has nice restaurants food is good and service is very professional. Lots to do in Atlanta for the whole entire family.

    The Ponce City Market great place to eat.

    The Ponce City Market great place to eat. The Bellina Alimentari Restaurant an Italian place great food. The roof top their was very nice as well. All of these places are in the Ponce City Market. My husband and I visit a nice laid back R&B Club called Rock Steady. Everyone was oh so nice and welcoming. Never go to the ATL without visiting the Skyline Park Ferris wheel (Amazing). We also went to eat at Red Rice for those of you who like Soul Food and to end the night, we visit the Atlantic Station for a late night movie. Being we are not from ATL, we used Uber and Uber Eats. Loved them, their service was Great!!!! Every placed mentioned above is no more than 3-14 minutes away if you stay Downtown Atlanta. Our overall stay was Extremely Wonderful!!! We will DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN!!!:-)

    I'm more of a rural person; grew up in the country.

    I'm more of a rural person; grew up in the country. Atlanta traffic is tough if you're not accustomed to the area and their fast pace. The city itself is beautiful and has a lot to offer. The Fox Theater is one of the best venues for a concert that I've ever attended. Go there.

    The last time I was in Atlanta was almost 15 years ago. The food scene has much to offer, there is a vibrancy to the city that had not existed, the MART (city transit train) was much better than I was expecting (although there are some sketch people hanging around the stations), many vineyards and beautiful country side/towns (such as Dahlonega) within an easy drive. Although most tourists visit the Coca Cola Museum and the fabulous aquarium, not sure how many know about the Atlanta Botantical Gardens. If you have not been and you enjoy gardens, it is an absolutely delightful place to visit...especially on a Thursday when they have music starting at 5PM. Had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant, too. Was so pleasantly surprised by how much Atlanta has to offer!

    Location is close to the airport, airport shuttle offered. Reception has advised it would take 15 mins approx, however with the volume of traffic around the aiport it is closer to 45 mins (no fault of hotel). Note the shuttle only drops to domestic however you can get a connecting bus to internation departures (additional time also). The room was very spacious and all areas were spotless. Great spread for breakfast. Coffee available in the room and reception. For other travellers, this is outside of downtown Atlanta, airport side.

    Great location to the best attractions in Atlanta - less than 15 15-minute walk to the Georgia Aquarium & World of Coke. The hotel provides a free shuttle for guests (which will drive up to a 3-mile radius from the hotel), which I use to get to the closest MARTA station. Breakfast was great and included in the price of the room. I had a king suite - very spacious, comfortable and pleasant! Front desk staff were super friendly and willing to provide local recommendations .

Great location, 10 minute walk to a lovely square with great restaurants and a 10-15 minute Uber to Buckhead Village (nice shops and eateries). Also about 30 mins from airport. Clean, modern, spacious hotel. Comfy bed, great bathroom. We would stay again. We would recommend.
