My wife and I are both hoteliers, so we naturally pay attention to details when we stay at a property. We chose Manisa Hotel for a two-night stay to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and unwind after a stressful period. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. From the start, we encountered several issues: a dead cockroach in the bathroom, a non-functional phone, and a sink tap that came loose in my hand. Our so-called balcony was just a concrete space with two old plastic chairs and a sunbed without a mattress—not exactly a comfortable spot to relax. Service was inconsistent. There was no bartender at the pool when we wanted to order drinks, and despite a confirmed request for a complimentary cake for our anniversary dinner, it was not delivered on the first night as planned. However, the cake was eventually brought to us during our second dinner, which we appreciated. That being said, I must highlight Miss Manuela at the reception desk. From what I observed, she is the one truly holding the hotel service together. I am not sure of her exact position, but in my opinion, she deserves a role such as Operations Manager. Her professionalism and dedication stood out, and she went above and beyond to assist us. The staff tried their very best to assist despite the hotel conditions not being in great shape. Overall, the property has potential, but it needs better maintenance and attention to detail. As hoteliers, we understand the challenges of the industry, but we also know that guest experience is key. With the right improvements, this place could offer a much better stay.     Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

    We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.

    Good vibe, nice restaurants, felt safe, fantastic snorkeling opportunities from the beach, convenient shopping mall at Cascavelle for groceries, etc. Proximity to Tamarin to catch catamaran trip. As a family of 5 we rented a car, which worked out very well. Taxis are expensive if you want to get around with 5 people, simply to do shopping, etc.

    Very pretty beach for a swim or picnic, parking can be tricky so if you see a spot take it :), the sand is soft but there is some coral on the beach and water if you have sensitive feet pack some water shoes. Lovely location for a swim and relax.

    Flic-en-Flac offers not a fancy stay, but congenial, friendly, and economical environment. Swimming in the ocean or taking a mile long running along the shore allows visitors to stay in good health while traveling. This is one of the very rare spot visitors get to mingle with Mauritian residents more closely, unlike in other fancy hotels. FNF is relatively a residents' beach retreat with great sunset scene.

    Lots of restaurants, stores and a nice beach to watch the sunsets. We ate supper at several different restaurants and every meal was top notch. Our favourite was octopus curry. On a sad note, stay away from the TIGADGET Store above the Jumbo supermarket in Flic en Flac if you are looking for a Emtel tourist only SIM card. He charged us 1500 mur for the same card you can get at the airport for 750 mur. Not a good start to our vacation.

    Perfect hotel for our stay in Mauritius! Excellent value for money. Located in Flic en Flac, only a few minutes walk to the beach and close to the city center with many restaurants. Restaurant was well set up for breakfast. They also have dinner with show. Thank you to the Seastar staff who are all very friendly and helpful, and especially a huge thank you to Valerie who went out of her way to help us with everything from car rental to boat trips. She is the best employee a hotel could ever wish for!

    If you’re looking for a place to stay in Mauritius - don’t look any further! This is the perfect place! Loved everything about it, super nice apartment, very close to the beach, shops and restaurants close by. The apartment has got everything you need, I loved the balcony and it was super handy to have a washing machine as well since I was staying for a longer period. The owner is so incredibly kind and always available to answer questions and very helpful. 10000 % recommended

    Huge apartment set in a quiet street, just minutes away from the beach. Everything was well thought off, adapters for the socket, great shower pressure and above all the washing machine. We could wash everything after spending a week in Mauritius. Owner was super friendly and welcoming.

    Nice Place to stay. Was quite calm, good food, friendly staff. Nice pool and private beach. We didn't go the beach because 2 cyclones hit Mauritius in the last 10 days but the view it's very beautiful.
