My wife and I are both hoteliers, so we naturally pay attention to details when we stay at a property. We chose Manisa Hotel for a two-night stay to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and unwind after a stressful period. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. From the start, we encountered several issues: a dead cockroach in the bathroom, a non-functional phone, and a sink tap that came loose in my hand. Our so-called balcony was just a concrete space with two old plastic chairs and a sunbed without a mattress—not exactly a comfortable spot to relax. Service was inconsistent. There was no bartender at the pool when we wanted to order drinks, and despite a confirmed request for a complimentary cake for our anniversary dinner, it was not delivered on the first night as planned. However, the cake was eventually brought to us during our second dinner, which we appreciated. That being said, I must highlight Miss Manuela at the reception desk. From what I observed, she is the one truly holding the hotel service together. I am not sure of her exact position, but in my opinion, she deserves a role such as Operations Manager. Her professionalism and dedication stood out, and she went above and beyond to assist us. The staff tried their very best to assist despite the hotel conditions not being in great shape. Overall, the property has potential, but it needs better maintenance and attention to detail. As hoteliers, we understand the challenges of the industry, but we also know that guest experience is key. With the right improvements, this place could offer a much better stay. Good location, good value for money and quite nice and fancy for a 3 star hotel. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom and balcony.

    Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

    We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.

    Good vibe, nice restaurants, felt safe, fantastic snorkeling opportunities from the beach, convenient shopping mall at Cascavelle for groceries, etc. Proximity to Tamarin to catch catamaran trip. As a family of 5 we rented a car, which worked out very well. Taxis are expensive if you want to get around with 5 people, simply to do shopping, etc.

    Very pretty beach for a swim or picnic, parking can be tricky so if you see a spot take it :), the sand is soft but there is some coral on the beach and water if you have sensitive feet pack some water shoes. Lovely location for a swim and relax.

    Flic-en-Flac offers not a fancy stay, but congenial, friendly, and economical environment. Swimming in the ocean or taking a mile long running along the shore allows visitors to stay in good health while traveling. This is one of the very rare spot visitors get to mingle with Mauritian residents more closely, unlike in other fancy hotels. FNF is relatively a residents' beach retreat with great sunset scene.

    Lots of restaurants, stores and a nice beach to watch the sunsets. We ate supper at several different restaurants and every meal was top notch. Our favourite was octopus curry. On a sad note, stay away from the TIGADGET Store above the Jumbo supermarket in Flic en Flac if you are looking for a Emtel tourist only SIM card. He charged us 1500 mur for the same card you can get at the airport for 750 mur. Not a good start to our vacation.

    We felt at home plus luxury hotel room comfort. Every facility from coffee machine to the beach chairs was kindly provided and it was far above our expectations considering the reasonable price. Johanna and Cecile were always in contact with us to ensure a comfortable stay, and we cannot express enough their courtesy and friendliness. We had an overall dream vacation in lovely Mauritius and we truly suggest this place as the first and best choice to stay for everyone without hesitation

    The apartment is in a great location, a 2 minute walk from the beach which is quieter than Flic en Flac main beach. There are also excellent restaurants around a 10 min walk away. The apartment was very clean and provided essentials like tea, coffee, washing powder and beach towels etc. The host was very friendly and welcoming and provided good info for our visit to Mauritius.

    Great location in Mauritius, close to the Ocean, about 15 min on foot. Apartment itself is very cosy with nice terrace, comfortable to stay for a longer time with everything that is needed. Really great host, we’ve stayed few days during cyclone, we’ve been informed with relevant information during that time and have not been left alone.
