It was a good location, close to a metro station to go anywhere easily, and in a walkable distance to Shinjuku(15min). There was a 7 eleven in the ground floor of the hotel. The room was in good size, and the breakfast was perfect. You should definitely order the pancakes in breakfast.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

We stayed at Tokyo in 2 parts, the first part of the trip (6 days) and the last one (2 days). It has so much to see that a few days aren't enough. You can see the main points in a few days, but it will be rushed and some things will pass by. Child dream, finally come true. Surpassed every expectation. Eager to return. Would live there easily. Is that good!!! Things we did there: Kart trip inside city Lots of temples Shibuya Cross and Shibuya Sky Asakusa is a really good place to live Be prepared when going to Shinjuku station (we weren't), its a small city on its own underground. In my honest oppinion, skip the robot cafe (Pepper Parlor). Is a novelty, yes, but only that. The robot interactions are quite limited and the food is so-so. Had a better experience with the Dawn Avatar Robot Café, wich as a more altruist goal, a bit pricy, but good experience. About food in general, there is no mistaking, most places are good. One golden rule: Has cue and locals? Then is good.

Be careful of their public transportation.

Be careful of their public transportation. There are 2 sets of train system which doesn't accept the same ticket. Great way to get around Tokyo is the subway system. It can be daunting in the beginning but once you get the hang of it then its a breeze. Be prepared to do a lot of walking with a lot of people. It seems this city, is the city that never sleeps.

Tokyo is an amazing city. There is something for everyone.

Tokyo is an amazing city. There is something for everyone. I got to see some of the more local sights as well as the typical attractions. It is worth taking the trains to see areas of the city that are further out as well as the inner suburbs. The food is amazing, the city stimulating, yet not overwhelming. The transport is very manageable to navigate and use. I loved eating at the Izayaka’s and having yakatori or goyza for a quick and easy bite. The ramen I had was fantastic, and you can’t go wrong with a bowl of udon from a local restaurant. Don’t be afraid to venture into places that are off the beaten track! I also liked the food and drink options at local convenience stores such as Lawson’s and 7/11. I can’t wait to come back!

-1 Notice how clean and litter-free Japan overall is.

-1 Notice how clean and litter-free Japan overall is. This is so even without trash cans. -2 There's no gum on the sidewalks, no gum wrappers blowing about; no cigarette butts on the ground. -3 Even construction trucks are spotless! -4 Everyone is so kind and helpful. Polite. Orderly. -5 You'll notice who are the foreigners on a train. Japanese put their backpack in front of themselves versus taking up another seat. And, the Japanese folks are not chatty and loud like others.. Give that a try.

Exciting city with lots to see and do lots of local great eateries if you are willing to give it a go. Language is not a barrier anywhere everyone is helpful.

I'm not really a fan of Tokyo, probably because it is too busy and crowded for me. But if it's your first time to Japan of course you need to get there. My advice is to avoid being there in the summer as the hot and humid weather could be unbearable and beat any motivation for outdoor activities. However, mid May to mid June is the hydrangea season, which could be a redeeming point. I highly recommend taking a day trip from Tokyo to Kamakura or Yokohama to make the most of your time in Japan. Some also suggest a day trip to Yamanashi to view Mount Fuji but personally I don't think it's worth it, because it's hard to predict the weather and you need a clear sky in the morning to see the mountain. You have a better chance if you stay in Yamanashi overnight.

The location was perfect. I chose this Hotel because of its nearby location to Zepp Shinjuku, Kabukicho Tower, where my Favourite Finnish band Turmion Kätilöt were playing, which was less than 50m across the road. All the restaurants and bars within a 5 block radius make choosing where to eat very difficult, but the TV in the room was very helpful for recommendations. Easy walking distance to Shinjuku train station.

Great location: close to Shibuya train station, Shibuya Scramble Crossing, Hatchi statue and shops & restaurants. About 2 km walk to Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine, on main JR Yananote train circuit to Harajuku, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Very quiet hotel, laundry easy to operate with English, complimentary tea bags etc and friendly, helpful staff (arranged luggage transfer to next hotel).

We liked the location - it was easy to move around and in a very central neighborhood. Few steps from the hotel there is a really nice bar where we had lovely drinks and had a lovely time. Also, 7eleven at the ground floor is always a plus. Train station is really close and although the bed was a bit small (my husband is 2M tall...) it was very comfortable.

Staff were friendly. Hotel was nicely decorated and clean. Laundry service was easy to use but some guests took a long time to remove their clothes from finished cycles although not the hotels fault. The area around the hotel is fantastic!
