This place was a gem of a find, fantastic scenery, and peaceful. The host was great and the cabin had everything we needed. The town is just fifteen minutes away for groceries etc. A bonus are the farmers dogs who come into the cabin deck and want to play or just have their tummy tickled. The city is the historical center of some of the early settlers so it was interesting to explore. It has a number of good restaurants and plenty of other amenities like gas stations. A good place to stay- friendly, clean, quiet, etc. The jacuzzi and sauna were a nice touch and enjoyed after a day of trekking and driving. Borgarnes is nearby for food and such. The guesthouse is a hidden gem along the coast in a very pleasant little town. From here you can walk along the seaside to enjoy the midnightsun when the sky is blue. The adjacent restaurant has a very friendly and welcoming staff and a range of excellent food as well as an enjoyable seafood buffet with several choices of fresh fish. The location was perfect; not far from Reykjavik airport, near the peninsula, and close to the Rejkholt valley for exploring.
