The hotel has no air conditioning, which is a serious issue during the summer. I had a 3-night reservation but experienced two very uncomfortable nights due to the heat. I decided to leave and not stay for the third night. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for summer stays.

The hotel was fantastic for the price, I cannot imagine more for the same price. The location is superior, and the access to the public transport is the best. The hotel looks very interesting, decorated with a nice taste, worth mentioning that we spend an evening to the midnight in the lobby playing board games and having fun. The rooms are spotless and beautiful. If you don't want a cleaning for a day, they give you a drink per person instead, which is impressive. Staff are welcoming and kind, always answering with a smile. :)

FAQs about hotels in Munich

Beyond Oktoberfest

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.

Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.

For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.

Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city center from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.

We walked everywhere, sometimes 30+ minutes to get to sights like the English Garden (in summertime, this is a must-see). There were summer crowds, but manageable. The beer gardens were great fun. The Residenz was worthwhile, especially considering the extent of its bombing destruction during WWII. We visited the NSDOKU (Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism) which was sobering and important to understand. What we learned there was helpful for our visit Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial (took the train from Munich). We will return to Munich - so much more to see and do!

Münich is the beer and Biergarten capital of the world.

Münich is the beer and Biergarten capital of the world. The Biergardens are not just a place to go and drink. They are central to the lives of most people in Munich. They are a social centre and a meeting place. Where better to go on a hot evening than under the spreading chestnut trees of a Beirgarten? There are several, spread across the city ranging form the largest (Hirschgarten) wit a capacity fo thousands- to some with space for only a few hundred.

As you probably know when Americans hear Munich mentioned they immediately think about British Prime Minister Chamberlain going to Munich and "appeasing" Hitler. If they actually visited Munich today it would change their opinions. On our trip when went to Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and Heidelberg. We liked Munich best! The Residenz is amazing and so is the Deutsches Museum.

Munich is ok, food is not great, lots of greasy and unhealthy foods if you eat in the city. Lots of beer, not a lot of healthy or health conscious food. Everything is too expensive, lots protests. City is overall safe, but locals don't like anyone who does not speak german, would not answer if I asked questions in Eng. Transport, everything is far too expensive. Outside of walking, working or if you visit something you know of beforehand, there is nothing to do in Munich.

A perfect hotel, it really made the trip to Munich even better! - Lovely and attentive staff. - Hotel is beautiful, and our twin room was very spacious and comfortable, we had some great night sleeps. Our room was facing the station but very good noise and sound cancellation. - Amazing breakfast and dinner restaurant especially in the courtyard. Highly recommend going to all at least once. - Pool and sauna were a great relaxing addition. - Perfect location right near the station, tram and walking distance to the city centre.

Amazing hotel which has 4 starts for a good reason! Great, spacious rooms, exceptional cleanliness. The staff are very polite and ready to accommodate various requests, also ready to go beyond the reservation specs. Location is a bit off the city centre, but there is a direct line (S4, S6) which city centre easily reachable. Also this one of the cheapest 4-star hotels in Munich, considerably cheaper than many hotels with one, two or three stars. Great impression. I stayed there twice, and I will be returning for sure!
