The downtown location was good, if you don’t factor in the fact that the parking is a long distance from the hotel and the few spots to pull up for check-in/out are a nightmare to get access to. The shower was clean and had good pressure.

Beautiful property of a quality that far exceeded what I expected for what I paid. I slept so well and despite having booked a very small room, had everything I needed. The staff was helpful and the location was so central but also right across from a park - I couldn't have asked for more.

I liked that it was close to downtown but also separate and quiet. It did mean more walking (and going up/down the hills of Halifax), but the location was removed enough that it felt a little more private. I also really liked the large parks nearby.

Halifax is a vibrant city with a lot to see and do.

Halifax is a vibrant city with a lot to see and do. We were there on a Saturday and were able to enjoy the waterfront. There were many vendors there selling various items like jewelry and handmade things. A must see is the Alexander Keith's brewery, where they have a Saturday morning market.

Halifax is a lively, fun place to be.

Halifax is a lively, fun place to be. Our accommodation was close to The Commons and Emera Oval. There was always something happening there. Skating, cycling, scooting, running on the oval. Cricket, softball, baseball, even Australian Rules football. Dog walkers, joggers, picnickers, walkers, sunbathers. People of all persuasions in an atmosphere that, in our estimation, respects diversity. The waterfront is alive with markets, restaurants and holidaymakers. The citadel is a gem with a fascinating history. The city gardens a little jewel in the crown. A music festival, the Atlantic Sex Show, a tattoo all keeping the place buzzing. Love the place and if we can find a reason to go back we will as soon as possible.

    Grandson graduation was wonderful.

Grandson graduation was wonderful. Travelling to graduation was stressful. Went to Tattoo. That was wonderful. Trariff again was hard. My son drove me to areas I needed to go in Halifax. Dartmouth was not so bad with travelling around.

I think Halifax is probably the most pleasant user friendly city that I have visited in north America. Far nicer than Toronto and Montreal. No sign of the usual poverty or even homeless. Very clean city with pleasant green suburbs, nice views and amenities.

Halifax is a very fun city. We were there 3 nights. There are lots of things to do from museums, walks along the harbor and just wandering the streets. There are a variety of good food options for everyone. Everyone we met was so nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed the Maritime of the Atlantic Museum, waking along the harbor, the Public Gardens, and the Farmers Market on Saturday. There was so much more of the city and Dartmouth that we didn't explore.

There was ant infestation in the property.

There was ant infestation in the property. We couldn’t sleep in the property for the duration of the planned holiday. It was a disappointment. The property should have been fumigated before we came in. Big Ants were everywhere in the kitchen, sofas, plates, bed etc. Would not recommend this place for my dog to stay.

This is an historic hotel, comprising of 3 adjacent buildings. As with old buildings, there is no lift and many steps and stairs. Our third floor room also had restricted headroom. The breakfast offering is rather odd; a preordered box with your specified items. We chose to take breakfast in a local cabin, this was popular with locals. The location of the hotel is ideal for the downtown area, the waterfront , museum and citadel. A number of places to eat are located within walking distance.

the prince george hotel and a in a great location between the citadel and the wharf and is perfect for exploring Halifax. The beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows and bedding to suit all. The rooms are clean and quiet and service is excellent. While we took advantage of the rooftop bar for happy hour and nibbles we opted to explore nearby cafes for breakfast.

Wonderful, well decorated modern apartment. We felt very safe and comfortable, and loved the proximity to downtown and the boardwalk. There was some city noise but that is to be expected and it is clearly stated when booking and also through emails. We had no issues. There is on site laundry which was great! Would recommend this hotel!
