Sneaton Castle ligger i Whitby, 19 minuters promenad från Whitby Beach, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en restaurang. The breakfast was awesome and especially the service with KiKi from Sweden...what a delightful person.!! And kudos to the chef for allowing us to try the English Kippers... Check-in was very smooth and the staff was so kind and helpful. We even received a tour of the castle wedding facility before we left...SO BEAUTIFUL.!! Our story is 50 years ago we dated as 14 and 15 year olds for 8 years then as we acquired degrees, jobs, and moves to separate cities we lost our way together and each married other people...after my husband passed away, he reached out to me with condolences, and we just kept on chatting for some reason. Found ourselves meeting up occasionally since we live in different states and recently on this trip to England together. Wanting to stay in an English castle while here, I booked the Sneaton Castle for 1 night since we were visiting Whitby and not realizing it was mainly a wedding venue until we arrived, we checked into a suite which by the way was fabulous.!! I received a tour of the chapel and fell in love instantly...his first marriage was in the front yard of his home, I eloped and mine was in a little chapel in Reno, NV both not your typical "fairytale weddings" and when I showed him the chapel there at Sneaton Castle even his eyes lit up and I said, "Will you marry me, here.?" He smiled, and shook his head YES, someday...we were pleasantly surprised with the tour of the gardens and the reception area...I've been dreaming about it since.!! Excellent job on renovations of every area.!! Not one thing left undone...again, IT'S FABULOUS.!!! Dreaming of a wedding in my future at Sneaton Castle and I'm 67 years young...never stop dreaming.!!

A traditional Yorkshire inn with oak beams and roaring log fires, the Wellington Inn is situated in the village of Darley. Absolutely fantastic. Lovely weekend. Great location. Great staff. Already booked for June with friends.

Det historiska Grantham Arms ligger i staden Bourbridge och erbjuder rum bara 5 km från Staveleys naturreservat och Newby Hall & Gardens. I was staying alone to break up a long drive south and this was such a nice surprise. Really gorgeous room with so many nice touches and incredibly comfortable. So much character too. The breakfast was also great and all the staff really friendly. A really cool place to stay. Also, even though it’s a pub with rooms it didn’t feel like that. Everything was hotel quality, spotlessly clean and a lot of effort has gone into the rooms so they feel really special.

Weston Hotel ligger i Scarborough, 6 minuters promenad från Scarborough Beach, och har en gemensam lounge, rökfria rum, gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen och en bar. Lovely view, staff exceptional from breakfast servers to reception to rooms made up daily. They were also Professional, fun and informative. The shared space / siderooms are fantastic, will definitely stay here again. Our first time to Scarborough was made that much more comfortable with our excellent care here, thank you!

In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent. The hotel is an easy walk to magnificent trails and natural sites. The staff was exceptional, especially in helping us overcome major transportation problems ; the location is superb, but difficult to reach without a car. The staff was able to find us a driver, albeit expensive, without whom we could not have made our train connections.

In stunning parkland, close to York, Aldwark Manor Estate is a Victorian manor house that mixes traditional style with modern bedrooms featuring free WiFi. Stunning!....we loved our stay, from driving up the long driveway that runs by the golf course, to the stunning gold hands on the front doors, enormous chairs in the foyer, it was just great. Staff are excellent, professional and friendly. Our evening meal was excellent as was breakfast. 100% recommend. Great place for couples to get away for a weekend, golf, petanque, croquet, chess in the garden, a spa will be ready in November.

Situated on Whitby’s North Promenade, on Western Cliff, The Wheeldale offers cooked breakfasts, free parking and free Wi-Fi. The area was amazing. Close to walk to food choices.
