Sehr nahe am Flughafen und am Fährhafen.
Sehr nahe am Flughafen und am Fährhafen.. Ziemlich ruhige Gegend verglichen mit Vancouver. Unbedingt das südlich gelegene Ufer am Fraser River besuchen mit Fishermans Wharf (hier kann man günstig fangfrischen Fisch kaufen, wenn man ein Apartment mit Küche hat). Auch die shipyards historical site lohnt einen Besuch.

Richmond ist so einen Art Speckgürtel von Vancouver. Ein ruhiges Wohnviertel ca. 1 Stunde von Downtown entfernt, aber sehr gut mit Bus und Skytrain zu erreichen. Bis Fisherman's Wharf, mit netten Gaststätten und einigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, ist man eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß unterwegs. Richmond hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Die gute Verkehrsverbindung durch die Canada-Line nach Downtown/Waterfront Vancouver ist ein großes Plus der Stadt. Viele Geschäfte und Einkaufszentren mit vergleichsweise moderatem Preisniveau. Gute Straßenverbindungen nach Süden (USA, Mount-Baker-Region). Mit dem Auto nach Norden (Whistler-Region) etwas nervig, da man Vancouver komplett durchqueren muss. Flughafen, Wal-Beobachtung (Steveston) schnell erreichbar.
