Websites are grainy after Firefox Update Late July 2025, is there a fix for this?

Since I downloaded the new Firefox update yesterday, the lettering on all websites is grainy. I used Chrome and not getting the same grainy-look to the lettering and logo's. To be honest, it is worse on my monitor, but can see the graininess on my laptop as well.

Is there a fix to this, or do you suggest something I could do to fix this on my end? Would deleting Firefox and reinstalling fix my issue? I would rather use Firefox over any other browser, because more added security is provided for your users, and less selling of information.

I tried to screenshot the graininess to add to the images, but it subsided upon capturing.

Thank you, Michelle Rodrigues

Hello, I'm not sure which genius decided it would be a good idea to have the latest update (141.0) automatically change the Firefox settings to 'clear history when Firefox closes' but that is what happened on both my computers... I obviously didn't notice just lost years of research history as well as all my tab groups. No information in session history at all (before today). Nothing at all in session restore. Is there ANYTHING that can be done to restore my history? Genuine suggestions appreciated.

I had to reset Firefox because of a hack to my FB account. I've recreated all of the icons I use but Gmail won't add since Google doesn't think my desktop is one of my devices. I can receive Gmail if I use Chrome. I've tried reaching Google by leaving messages @ the Freemont office in Seattle but thought maybe Mozilla had an answer. Thanks for listening.

I can see all my bookmarks, passwords, history etc. on mobile but this Sync feature refuses to import the bookmarks to my desktop browser. What is causing this? I have Synced then Unsynced dozens of times with the bookmark option on and off, signed in and out several times, reinstalled Firefox several times. There has to be a way that I can just get my bookmarks onto my desktop. It cannot be this complicated.

Hello, since I installed the Firefox 141.0 update today, I can't login to Reddit. I tried logging into Reddit right after updating Firefox, so did a System Restore to see if that corrected the problem, and it did.

To double check, I installed the Firefox 141.0 update again, and encountered the same problem logging into Reddit again, so it's definitely this new update causing the problem.

I've attached the Reddit messages I get. The 1st is the initial message, and the 2nd after I retry logging in.

I would greatly appreciate help with this.

Thank you,

Michael T.

I am running Firefox on a Windows 10 desktop. Recently (within the last couple of months) whenever I close Firefox I get logged out of my account. I don't recall this happening before. It doesn't happen when I close Firefox on my MacBook using iOS.

I can't find any option or control that tells Firefox to logout of my account when the browser closes. I have automatic updates for Firefox enabled so I should be running the most up-to-date version.

Is there some control that I missed that tells Firefox to logout of my account when it closes?

When trying to sign in to Lastpass. I get a notice to "Set your permissions to strictly necessary " but there doesn't seem to be a way to save that choice and it always reverts to "Voluntary data collection" thereby making it impossible to use Lastpass. I can use the extension on other browsers and even on Firefox Nightly. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello I recently switched to Firefox and while using Tumblr, gifs flash white like lightning when they completely load in.

Firefox was installed and reinstalled recently, I have tried using with and without extensions, I have created and changed the codes in userContent and userChrome like 3 times. I have turned off and on all the settings I could find in Firefox, nothing has worked. This is not an issue on Twitter, nor is it an issue while using Chrome.

The only thing that helped slightly was turning off both options for "Performance" in the settings, but that simply changed the size of the flash at least on big gifs that are stacked on top of each other, and the flash just happens on the right side where the 3 loading dots appear down to the bottom of the gif. Small and medium gifs that are side by side still flash 100%.

Unless my eyes deceive me, the extension "Dark Background and Light Text" which has the background color for sites turned black as default, changes the flash to a slightly darker color. This makes me think it's a loading bar? issue but I don't how I would go about making that transparent.
