I see that i have the option to use google as well as other search engines and i wonder if the use of google trough fire fox does anything different and protacts me more than just using google and how.

I used Firefox browser on my laptop for 4 years, but later updated my hard drive due to insufficient memory. But before, the account did not enable the password synchronization function, and it was found that the password saved in the browser on the old hard drive was not synchronized back.

At present, I can still log in to my old hard drive through websites and search methods. I have tried copying all the folders on my old hard drive to my new computer, but it is currently not working. At present, I have saved the key4 file and logins. json, which are the original system passwords, but I don't know how to import them into the new system.

So please advise on how to solve my problem.

I am trying to setup 2-Factor Verification for my Mozilla account however every time I enter in the 6 digit code it shows up with "Invalid or expired code. Check your authenticator app and try again."

And I am positive I am doing it right. As I would normally do it; scan the QR code, enter in the 6 digit code.

If anyone has the same issue or solved it, please let me know.

I am running Mageia 9 and have an HPM277dw printer. The printer seemed to install fine and works perfectly when printing from every application other than Firefox. When I try to print directly from the browser it will leave off some of the top of the page on a single page print or it will print the first page fine and leave off a portion of the top of the rest of the pages on a multiple page document.

I know that this is not a new issue, but it's a recurrent issue that keeps coming back. When I install a Firefox update, MacOS (15.5 at present) often gives me a popup that says "Firefox is trying to install a new helper tool. Enter your password to allow this."

But I don't ever want to enter my password to install a tool that doesn't identify itself. I view Firefox as always being at the forefront of security, but asking for a password for a tool that's not identified is a security risk. Maybe it's MacOS that refuses to identify the "helper tool", but it's a Firefox problem. It's unacceptable.

In today's update, Firefox won't work at all after I hit cancel to the password dialog. I have to Force Quit it. I'm going to have to delete Firefox and reinstall, and hopefully that will work. But I shouldn't have to do this. It's unacceptable that this keeps happening. (If there's some weird configuration issue at my end, I think Firefox should be flexible enough to deal with it.)

I don't know what version of Firefox is generating the problem, because it's currently unresponsive, since I haven't entered my password to install the helper tool. (I'm writing this in Safari.)

I have Firefox configured with auto-expanding vertical tabs. Sometimes, when the mouse cursor leaves the Firefox window through the same border where the tab bar is located, the tab bar expands and stays in that state until the cursor returns to the Firefox window. This is especially annoying with two displays; if the cursor hovers over the tab bar right before moving to the second display, the tab bar remains expanded, overlapping part of the browser content.

Some/All extensions don't work in build in PDF viewer. Example:

• Extension: DeepL: translate and write with AI

When: Not work when select text and hit translate.

• Extension: Dark Reader

When: Colors isn't inverted to darker tones.

Hello Last year, I first saw the icons in the far right top corner of home page (red 'X' and other orange one) kept turning grey. Now for several months the entire top 'task bar' area of Firefox home page constantly turns grey, then back to regular color, back and forth, in the most aggravating way. I tried all suggestions: disabled hardware accelerations, disabled themes and extensions, cleared cache.... Still persists. I just noticed it may occur mostly when more than one tab is opened, even just two. Has anybody else encountered this? I use Firefox as my only browser-- on a Toshiba laptop. Thanks.

Running Win 11 and Firefox 14.1.0 both latest builds. Since 141 update I have constant problems with youtube. Page does not load at all or loads only partially. Icons on sidebar are broken, youtube logo is black. I tried disabling ublock and greasemonkey but it did not help. Refreshing page multiple times and using ctrl+f5 sometimes helps but issue returns often, every few videos/visits. Clearing cookies helps but only for few hours and then issue returns.

Is it related to WebGPU support that was supposed to be added in 141? Can I disable it somehow?

I can no longer update or install extensions on my Firefox profile.

When I attempt to update, nothing happens. When I attempt to install a new extension, the Mozilla page states "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt."

This appears to be a problem with my profile, because if I create a new profile, I can install extensions with it. However, I do not want to lose my existing extension settings or data.

About two day ago my U Tube started not showing the normal size player but it shows one similar to the picture in picture. The sound is working fine. This is happening all three of my WIN10 computers when I use Firefox. If I go to MS Edge or Opera the U Tubes run just fine.

I hate both of those browsers and have used Firefox for years but I use U Tube a lot and I need a fix.

I am thinking that the latest Firefox update was about the time this started happening but I am not sure.

I have a Windows 11 Pro PC. Every Sunday morning for years I have downloaded snapshots from gocomics.com to a folder named Sunday on my desktop. Currently, I have Firefox set to send all downloads to C:\Users\hight\Desktop\Sunday⁩.

Just this week Firefox has been sending those snapshots to C:\Users\hight\Desktop\Downloads and I can’t seem to get Firefox to send the snapshots to my Sunday folder. How could I do that?

When I view Zhihu (https://www.zhihu.com/) with Firefox, my computer sometimes reboot suddenly without any notice. I don't know why but it seems to begin from this year (I always keep updating firefox)

I had been using firefox on my mac, but all of a sudden it stopped working. When I try to search something or type in a website I just get the dot moving back and forth on the tab and the page never loads. Safari is working fine though.

I've been unpinning my shortcuts on my homepage, and now there's no blank space to add a new one. I've restarted my Windows and clicked the settings again to create shortcuts, but I can't add a new one. Please help me solve this problem. Shortcuts made my work easy to access. Thank you
