I have an extensive collection of saved files. Almost all are saved as pdfs, except a few word files. Recently Firefox has started to save them as html, which is incredibly irritating. How do I get Firefox to save them as pdf?

I am logged into my computer. When I try to sync my phone Firefox with my computer, I am asked to provide a number from an authentication app. I don't have any such authentication app and can't figure out what the Firefox one is. There does not seem to be a workaround. I can't use a backup code or reset option. I am trying to figure out what to do.

Recently, in the past month, when I open PiP to play videos (mainly Youtube) and open another tab play web game at the same time, the web game screen will be slightly stuck, and there is a high chance of triggering VIDEO TDR FAILURE.

I'm not sure if this problem is caused by PiP, but it only happens when I open PiP and a web game at the same time. It happens about 2-3 times a week, and I haven't updated my graphics card drivers recently.

OS: windows 10 Browser: firefox 141.0 Graphics card: GTX1060 Graphics card driver: 32.0.15.7688

I am frustrated by not being able to get these two extensions to work: ClearURLs Copy-n-Paste: Clipboard Upload Simplified

ClearURLs doesn't seem to do anything. URLs do not get cleaned as expected. Copy-n-Paste: Clipboard Upload Simplified just doesn't work. It gets invoked as expected but does not recognize clipboard content nor let me browse for a file.

Could there be anything within my Firefox that is causing the problem? Can live without ClearURLs. I was excited to find it but have been cleaning URLs manually for a long time so all I hoped it would do is save me some effort. OTOH, the Copy-n-Paste extension would allow me to make Firefox my default browser. I am very active in a number of support forums and often post screenshots. The inability to upload clipboard content when using FF makes it too inconvenient to use for these forum sites. Vivaldi and Startpage have this functionality built-in so one of them gets used. I prefer FF as a browser though so I wish I could get Copy-n-Paste to work. Thoughts on how to do that would be appreciated. Other installed extensions are uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger. They both seem to work fine.

I'm one of those people to whom sub-pixel smoothing just looks like a colored blur. However, there seems to be no way to disable this. Firefox seems to ignore my system settings in this regard. Did I miss something in the settings?

I am getting a lot of web client exceptions with version 141. How Can i go back to version 139. This is for my work software. I have no power to make changes to the software. If I can go back an not have automatic updates that would be great. Will I have to delete firefox and download an older version.

Hello if i enter proxy and ip address in firefox in Manual proxy configuration section then when i open a website its asks for username and password my question is can proxy owner see my data and i am using https websites like post data ?

I currently have NordPass as a Firefox Extension. After checking a box for "Stay Signed-in," I can no longer turn it off. Instead of any unauthorized person signing in with Firefox, I want to need my Master Password in order to sign in to websites. How do I stop this "Stay Signed-in."

All of my extension buttons disappeared, both from the main toolbar and from the Extensions sub-menu. They are still installed however. The only entry visible in the Extensions button, or in Manage Extension Shortcuts, is for an extension that has no button (Markdown Viewer).

This issue persists even if I switch to a known-good backup of my profile.

Has anybody else experienced a similar problem? Or can you help me trouble shoot this issue please?

I'm busy playing audio in a tab of the browser. The sound quality is good (rich, full, deep). Next, I open a new window by any means (Ctrl+N / Open link in new window / Menu > New window) As the new window appears, the current audio playback becomes tinny / lower quality. After a 3 seconds, the normal good sound quality starts again.

I'm currently using Bluetooth connected headphones and this happens on different headphones. I have to find some wired headphones first before I can try that. This happens with every new window that I open, regardless of the number of open tabs in current windows or how many previous open windows I already have. This happens regadless if audio enhancements of the output device are enabled or not. Spatial sound is set to off. Windows is set to 'do nothing' & will not adjust the volumes of different sounds when I'm using my PC to place or receive telephone calls.

OS: Windows 11 with latest patches Firefox: latest & older builds Hardware drivers: All manufacturer drivers applied

i am a longtime firfox user and donated sometimes for mozilla, after update 141.0 i figured out, that the implemented screenshottool arent using the manual setted folder for downloads and saving it in the normal "user" download folder on my os partition. sry my english isnt very well, i hope its understandable, what my problem is ;)

i hope this is known and will get fixed soon.

Good afternoon, Firefox support team! I've been having trouble displaying icons on my bookmarks bar for quite some time now. Usually, when bookmarks are added to the bookmarks bar, they are added with empty icons. Then, when you click on the link, the icon loads and appears in the browser on the bookmarks bar. For some reason, not all icons load. So in the attached screenshot, two bookmarks are highlighted, with which the described problem occurs. There may be more such problems, but it is not entirely clear what they are related to.

Updated to 115.26.0esr and it lost my profile, so I recovered it using about:profiles. I have my bookmarks but the "restore previous session" is not highlighted, so I have lost 40 something windows with maybe 5 tabs each. It would take forever to go thru Bookmarks and re-open every one of them.

how do I recover "restore previous session" after updating version & recovering Profile ?

Probably lost the Profile when I changed the filename - I like to show the version in the filename. How can I change the filename without losing my Profile & losing "restore previous session" ?

Firefox is much more than just a web browser. I provides also a gorgeous way to display PDF documents. You can configure with "horizontal scrolling" and "page fit" to show your document as several pages at once, which is a fantastic way to get an electronic music score display. Instructables: Electronic music score display The only caveat is that you must select "horizontal scrolling" and "page fit" for every document separately.

Do we have a trick to configure these options as default? That would be marvelous !

hello I have the following questions

I used Firefox browser on my laptop for 4 years, but later updated my hard drive due to insufficient memory. But before, the account did not enable the password synchronization function, and it was found that the password saved in the browser on the old hard drive was not synchronized back.

At present, I can still log in to my old hard drive through websites and search methods. I have tried copying all the folders on my old hard drive to my new computer, but it is currently not working. At present, I have saved the key4 file and logins. json, which are the original system passwords, but I don't know how to import them into the new system.

So please advise on how to solve my problem.
