I installed the new version from f-droid and wondered why the expected speed increase from the socket connection wasn't there: I created an App class that would have been the Application class of the app, but there is already TermuxApiApplication. I don't know why it was even working in my tests, I probably changed the manifest but that got lost in the merge or something like that.
I renamed the class to SocketListener and call it from TermuxApiApplication, now the socket connection works.
