In #34218, the 'minimal-changes' option is appended to composer update. I prefer to update my transitive dependencies as much as possible, when updating my dependencies. By doing that, I can be sure bug and security fixes are installed in my environment, even when my direct dependencies do not update their constraints.

As far as I can find, there is no way to configure if the 'minimal-changes' option is added. Is there a different way to update transitive dependencies automatically?
