Proposed feature request

The bootloader has its own release cycle, and they are completely independent from firmware builds. There's no reason to hold them in the repository (where we also hold binaries!!!). Other than Asterix bootloader, others are not known to be functional, but they can be moved as well.

See, for example, the new pblboot as a component developed outside PebbleOS.

Alternatives

Keep legacy code.
