Hmm wouldn’t this create issues with the keyboard navigation? I haven’t quite tested your changes yet - but I'll leave it open for anyone who finds it useful. I'll eventually merge this into the 3.5 branch. |

I know this might very much be an edge case, but I'm currently trying to use a custom build of jQuery without the
event-aliasmodule (among others), and that drops thefocusmethod, so changing totrigger( 'focus' )solves that issue.It's a non-destructive change that will make the lives of a few of us (picky) devs a little bit easier :)
