Package: dpkg
Version: 1.20.9
Severity: normal
Hi,
I recently encountered "no space left on device" errors at the end of a
multi-hour build of a huge package:
dpkg-deb (subprocess): compressing tar member: lzma write error: No space left on device
It would have been vastly easier to debug this if the error message was
more along the line of "no space left on device writing
/tmp/dpkg-deb.xyz", leading me to learn that the container the build was
taking place in had a 200 MB tmpfs mounted on /tmp.
Greetings
Marc
