If we need to add or edit road information in Google Maps, you can let us know. Google Maps road errors include:
- Incorrect or missing road names
- Incorrect info about one-way and two-way roads
- A road that was drawn incorrectly
- Road closures
- A road on the map that does not exist
- Missing roads
Important: You can only submit edits to Maps in some countries and regions.
Correcting incorrect information about a road
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- At the top left, click "Menu"

- On the left, click Edit the map
Add or fix a road.
- On the map, select the road you want to pave.
- On the left, verify the selected stretch of road.
- Under "Edit information," select the type of information you want to correct and submit the correction.
- Click Done.
Add a missing road
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Click Menu

- On the left, click Edit the map
Add or fix a road.
- At the top, click Add road.
- On the map, click the location where the missing road begins and drag it to where the road ends.
- On the left, add the road name and road type and click Done.
- To add other missing roads, repeat steps 4-6.
- Click Done.
Label a road as Private
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- At the top left, click "Menu"

- On the left, click Edit the map
Add or fix a road.
- On the map, select the road you want to update.
- On the left, select if this is for a segment, or all of the selected road.
- On the left, select the “Private road” option.
- Click Done.
