Abstract

本発明の表示装置は、空間を画成する壁部と、該壁部の内面に接触し、帯電している接触粒子と、前記空間に配置され、光を散乱させる散乱体または前記接触粒子と異なる色相を有する着色体と有する接触粒子含有層と、電圧を印加すると、前記接触粒子に作用させる電界を発生する1対の電極とを備え、前記1対の電極間に電圧を印加することにより、前記接触粒子が前記壁部の内面に接触しつつ、該内面に沿って移動するよう構成されている。
