　ステアリングホイールの上部でエアバッグの逃道を確保することを目的としている。エアバッグカバー３０に、展開ライン３４ａ，３４ｂ，３５ａ，３５ｂ，３５ｃ，３６ａ，３６ｂが形成され、エアバッグカバー３０は、エアバッグ膨張展開時に、上部開放片３３Ａ、左部開放片３３Ｂ，右部開放片３３Ｃ，下部開放片３３Ｄに分断して開放する。左部開放片３３Ｂに装飾部４０が設けられており、上部開放片３３Ａはステアリングホイールのホイール部に引っ掛かりにくい。
