Description

PATENTED MAR. 20, 1906. M. E. GREGORY. NURSING BOTTLE HOLDER. APPLICATION FILED JULY 26, 1905.
d 45 ing devices.
I UNiT D STATES- PATENT OFFICE...
MARY E. GREGORY, OF. .NORWALK, -(JONNECTICU'1X- NURSING-BOTTLE HQLBE Specification ofLetters Patent.
1 Patented March'20, 190a.
Application-fi led July 26,1905. Serial No. 271,266.
To all whom it mlmy concern.-
Be it known that I, MARY E. Gimcoar', a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Norwalk, in the county'of. Fairlield and State 5 of Connecticut, have invented a new and Im- 3 roved Nursing-Bottle Holder, ofwhich the Following is a specification.
My inventionrelates to the class of devices for conveniently holding a nursing-bottle for the use of a child; and one object of my in-' vention is to provide a device: of this class that will secure the bottle in an accessible position for-use.
A further object ofthe invention is to provide a device in which the bottle is securely.
, held against any danger of breakage by reason of a fall. v A further object of the invention is to provide a device with secure means of attach- 2 ment to an object.
A further'object of the invention is to pro-."
vide a. device of this class that may be ad- 'justably'secured in place.
- A form of device in the use of which these 5 objects may be attained is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which? Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating Y my invention as applied to a nursing-bottle Fig. 2 is a perspective new, on en;
in use. larged scale, showing. the holder. Fig. 3 is a detail view in section through the holder and abottle placed therein.
. 1n the accompanying drawings the numoral 1 denotes a 'case or holder. This is preferably formed of rubber or like flexible and comparatively soft material and approximately the shape of-a bottle. An opening 2 r Thesefasteners are distributed lengthwise along'the stra sin any desired number, four being jherein s ownas serving a useful purose. i
In the use of the inventionLthe straps may I and frictionally held .0 the socket in a manner common to fasteners of the kind shown..
be secured, as to the rail of'a crib or thelike,
by means of the fastener, and it will thus be seen that the holder or case may be placed in any location with reference to the position of the child-that is, if the holder is desired to project to the farther side of the crib the outer fasteners may be employed to secure it to the rail, or if the child is nearer to this side of the crib then the inner fasteners may be used to properly locate the holder and the nursingbottle, the outer ends of the strap projectin beyond the rail. When the bottle is place in position in the holder, the inner fasteners being secured together, the bottle is securely located in position and cannot be removed. It will thus be seen that an extremely se cure device is obtained and if the bottle shall be thrown from the crib or like place it can'- not fall to the floor, for the reason that the holder will prevent such fall, and thebottle cannot be accidentally removed, from the holder, for the reason that the fasteners secure it in position.
The soft material of which the holder is composed constitutes a shield or case which 8o' prevents the bottle from being broken by contact with the sides of a crib or the like.
1 What I claim as my invention, and desire} V to secure-by Letters Patent, is'
. 1. A case having at one end a contracted opening for the rece tion of the neck of a bottle, straps exten ing from the opposite end of the case and located on opposite sides thereof, and complementaryfastening means located at intervals along said straps.
. 2. A case having a contracted opemn at one end for the reception of the neck of a cttle, straps extendin from the opposite end of the case and locate( on' opposite sides thereof, and stud and socket fasteners located at in 5 tervals'along said straps.
3.; Ajc'ase having at one end a contracted opening for the reception of the neck of a bottle, straps extending from theopposite end of the case and located at opposite sides oo thereof, means for seourin the straps to- I gether at a point to-secure a ottle withinther? case, and means for securing a strap to an ohject.
.4. the reception of the neck of a bottle, straps extending from the opposite end of the case .and located on opposite sides ,thereof, and
stud and socket fasteners'dis osed at intervals along said straps, one 0 said fasteners A case having a contrac ted opening for r05 being located in position to secure abottle within the case.
5. A case having at one end a contracted opening for the reception of the neck of a bottle, straps extending from the opposite end of the case, and fastening means located at intervals along said straps.
6. A case having at one end a contracted opening for the reception of the neck of a bottle, straps extendlng from the opposite end of the case, and stud and socket fasteners 10- tle Within the ease, and fastening means for securing the case to an object.
9. A case having a contracted opening for the reception of the neck of a bottle, straps secured at the opposite end of the case and at opposite sides thereof, stud and socket fasteners for closing this end of the case to retain a bottle therein, and means for securing the case to an object.
10. A case having a contracted opening for the reception of the neck of a bottle, straps projecting from the opposite end of the case and from opposite sides thereof, stud and socket fasteners on said straps for closing this end of the case to hold a bottle there n, and stud and socket fasteners for securing the case to an object.
