To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, FRANK G. WANDER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Washington, in the District of Columbia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Combined Cigarette-Slide and Match- Box; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention relates to a combined cigarette-slide and match-box.

The object of the invention is to produce a compound match-box and cigarette-slide in one structure in a convenient manner.

The invention consists mainly in a blank from which a tray and an end compartment are conveniently formed.

It also consists in certain details of construction hereinafter described and claimed.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective of an ordinary open-ended box, and Fig. 2 is a perspective of a partially-formed tray or slide having a blank for a match box or compartment formed integral therewith. Fig 3 is a plan of the entire blank. Fig. 4 'is a perspective and plan of a modified form of the blank. Fig. 5 is also a perspective and plan of another form of blank. Figs. 3% 4, and 5 are sections of the matchcompartment as made from the respective blanks.

A is an ordinary tube or open-ended box to which a trough or slide portion is inserted. Either of the blanks may be formed into trough or slide and into an end pocket or compartment, as indicated in the sectional figures.

In carrying out my invention a blank is cut and scored, as shown in Fig. 3, thus providing in a single piece or sheet for the tray part, a bottom B, sides I) I), end 0, and closing-flap d,

which is folded or inserted to the end of the tube made by said parts 1 to 4, or the bottom part 4 may be caused to adhere to the tray bottom B, as shown in Fig. 4, or the part 4 may serve as a tongue and extend through a slit 7. (Seen in Figs. 5 and 5%) The side part b is longer than side I), and serves as bottom or end part for the matchcompartment.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new is- 1. A combined cigarette-slide and matchbox, consisting of bottom B, sides I), I), end piece 1, top 2, partition 3 and bottom part 4, the latter being adjacent to and alongside of the bottom B.

2. A combined cigarette-slide and matchbox, consisting of bottom B, sides 19, b, of different lengths and parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, the longer side I), parts 1 to 4, and the part 5, forming the six sides of a closed match-box.

3. A combined cigarette-slide and matchbox, consisting of bottom B, sides b, b, of different lengths, and parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, the parts 1 to 4 and the longer side I) forming sides of a match-box, the parts 1 to 4 being locked in position by the part 6.
