Each stretcher frame comprises two leg stretchers, and each leg stretcher comprises the front bar A, and the rear bar B. These bars are provided on the ccfntiguous faces on their lower ends with the screw threaded pins or, and near the upper ends with the pins 1), the ends of these pins beingconnected together by means of the turnbuckle c. The rear bar B is straight in its lower section, but near the upper end it is provided with the seat bend 0. The pins b and turnbuckle a should be located near enough to thetop of these bars so that it may be conveniently reached through the top of' the trousers after they are on the frame and yet it should be below the bend O of the rear bar, so that in adj usting the upper turnbuckle cthestretcher bars will turn about the lower pin a and thus give a greater outward movement to the upper ends of said bars. These bars may be made of wood or metal and may have rounded edges or pointed edges as desired, the pointed edges being used where it is desiredto form a crease in the trousers.

In Fig. 4 I have shown the bars as formed of 'wood and having the creasing edges 61 formed by simply shaping the bars.

' tion the creasing rib is made correspondingly in sections and the joint between the sections is spanned by means of the interlocking or overlapping strip '5, secured on the inner end of one section and adapted to project beneath theadjoiningsection. Eachlegstretcherthus formed of two bars adjustably secured together by a connection on their contiguous faces forms but a half of the frame. The two leg stretchers are adjustably connected together near their upper portions by the pins G on the inner faces of the front and rear bars respectively and the turnbuckle I connectingthe ends of the pin. E are pins extending from the inner faces of the rear bars above the adjustable connections between the two leg stretchers. The ends of the pins are connected together by the turnbuckle F. It will be seen that the connections E F act as a brace and prevent the lower ends of the leg stretching portions from spreading or coming together and enables the two leg stretching portions to be adjusted relative to each other when theturnbuckles I are adjusted and fixedly held in their adjusted position.

The parts being thus constructed,'their operation is as follows: The turnbuckles are rotated to reduce the size of the leg stretchers and to cause them to approach together sufficiently near, so that the trousers to be stretched can be easily engaged therewith. The trousers may then be supported by buttoning them to the tabs H at the upper end of the bars. Now by adjusting the turnbuckle 0, each leg will be tightly stretched about the leg stretcher and the body may be tightly stretched by turning the turnbuckle F to the proper amount. This not only eradicates the bagging of the knees and wrinkles but also forms a frame upon which the trousers may be tightly stretched for cleaning or brushing.

What I claim as my invention is- I. In a trousers stretcher, the combination of two leg stretchers, each comprising a front and rear bar, the rear bar having the straight lower portion and the curved upper portion forming the seat bend, a turn-buckle connecting the lower portions of the respective front and rear bars, a turnbuckle connecting the respective front and rear bars at or near the curved seat portion of the rear bar, adjustable connections G-I between the pair of leg stretchers, and the brace E-F between the Witnesses:
