Abstract
A hat rivet accessory assembly to selectively attach a hat accessory to a rivet of a hat. Wherein, the hat rivet accessory assembly comprises a rivet holding assembly and the hat accessory. The hat accessory is selectively attached to the rivet holding assembly and selectively attachable to the rivet of the hat. The rivet comprise a lower width smaller than an upper width. The rivet holding assembly comprises a top portion, a bottom portion and a hinge. The bottom portion comprises a slot having a slot width. The rivet holding assembly comprises an open configuration and a closed configuration. The open configuration comprises the top portion and the bottom portion detached from one another.

Illustrated herein are three variations, such as bobble head 1100, an LED light 1102, a football helmet 1104, a baseball hat 1200, a ball 1202 such as a soccer ball, a character 1204 such as a mascot or cartoon character, a bug 1300 such as an ant or spider, a storage box 1400 and/or a fashion accessory 1402 such as a ponytail or hair extension. In one embodiment, said storage box 1400 can comprise a tackle box such as those used in fishing; wherein, a user can attach said storage box 1400 to saidrivet 302 and have ready access to fishing supplies. As is known in the art “LED” can stand for “light emitting diode”. -
FIGS. 15A and 15B illustrate a perspective overview and lower view of an alternative embodiment 1500 of saidrivet holding assembly 100. - In one embodiment, said alternative embodiment 1500 of said
rivet holding assembly 100 can comprise one ormore tabs 1502 and One ormore sockets 1504 configured to selectively hold together saidtop portion 102 and saidbottom portion 104. For example, in one embodiment, said One ormore sockets 1504 can be arranged in a portion of saidbottom portion 104, said one ormore tabs 1502 can be arranged in a portion of saidtop portion 102; wherein, with saidtop portion 102 and saidbottom portion 104 closed on one another, said one ormore tabs 1502 and said One ormore sockets 1504 align and attach to one another. - Said one or

Saidbottom portion 104 can be configured to securely hold saidrivet holding assembly 100 against saidhat 300 and prevent movement of saidrivet holding assembly 100 relative to saidrivet 302 and saidhat 300. - Said

Claims (18)
1. A hat rivet accessory assembly to selectively attach a hat accessory to a rivet of a hat; wherein,
said hat rivet accessory assembly comprises a rivet holding assembly and said hat accessory;
said hat accessory is selectively attached to said rivet holding assembly and selectively attachable to said rivet of said hat;
said rivet comprise a lower width smaller than an upper width;
said rivet holding assembly comprises a top portion, a bottom portion and a hinge;
said bottom portion comprises a slot having a slot width;
said rivet holding assembly comprises an open configuration and a closed configuration;
said open configuration comprises said top portion and said bottom portion detached from one another;
said closed configuration comprises said top portion and said bottom portion attached to one another;
said hat rivet accessory assembly further comprises a bobble spring and a first accessory tab;
one end of said bobble spring is configured to attach to said first accessory tab of said rivet holding assembly, and another end of said bobble spring is configured to attach to a spring tab of said hat accessory;
said hinge comprises a bowtie hinge;
said bowtie hinge comprises a narrow central portion and two flexible edge portions;
said narrow central portion is closely bound to a proximate end of said top portion and said bottom portion;
said hat accessory comprises said spring tab;
said spring tab is configured to selectively attach to said bobble spring;
said spring tab and said bobble spring comprises a spring-tab diameter;
said bobble spring is configured to attach to said spring tab at one end and said first accessory tab at another end;
accordingly, said rivet holding assembly is configured to provide a base for a bobble head accessory such as said hat accessory, and said spring-tab diameter can allow said hat accessory to bob around with reference to said rivet holding assembly and a central axis;
said bottom portion of said rivet holding assembly comprises a concave lower face configured to match a convex top portion of said hat around said rivet; and
said bottom portion is configured to securely hold said rivet holding assembly against said hat and prevent movement of said rivet holding assembly relative to said rivet and said hat.
2. A hat rivet accessory assembly to selectively attach a hat accessory to a rivet of a hat; wherein,
said hat rivet accessory assembly comprises a rivet holding assembly and said hat accessory;
said hat accessory is selectively attached to said rivet holding assembly and selectively attachable to said rivet of said hat;
said rivet comprise a lower width smaller than an upper width;
said rivet holding assembly comprises a top portion, a bottom portion and a hinge;
said bottom portion comprises a slot having a slot width;
said rivet holding assembly comprises an open configuration and a closed configuration;
said open configuration comprises said top portion and said bottom portion detached from one another;
said closed configuration comprises said top portion and said bottom portion attached to one another;
said hat rivet accessory assembly further comprises a bobble spring and a first accessory tab; and
one end of said bobble spring is configured to attach to said first accessory tab of said rivet holding assembly, and another end of said bobble spring is configured to attach to a spring tab of said hat accessory.
3. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hinge comprises A bowtie hinge;
said bowtie hinge comprises a narrow central portion and two flexible edge portions; and
said narrow central portion is closely bound to a proximate end of said top portion and said bottom portion.
4. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hat accessory comprises said spring tab;
said spring tab is configured to selectively attach to said bobble spring;
said spring tab and said bobble spring comprises A spring-tab diameter;
said bobble spring is configured to attach to said spring tab at one end and said first accessory tab at another end; and
accordingly, said rivet holding assembly is configured to provide a base for a bobble head accessory such as said hat accessory, and said spring-tab diameter can allow said hat accessory to bob around with reference to said rivet holding assembly and a central axis.
5. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 4 , wherein:
said first accessory tab is an upper portion of said top portion of said rivet holding assembly.
6. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said first accessory tab is an upper portion of said top portion of said rivet holding assembly; and
said rivet holding assembly comprises said central axis, where with said rivet holding assembly in said closed configuration, said central axis is aligned with said first accessory tab and perpendicular to said slot.
7. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said rivet holding assembly comprises A lip slot and a lip arranged opposite one another in said top portion and said bottom portion, and configured to selectively hold said rivet holding assembly in said closed configuration.
8. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said bottom portion of said rivet holding assembly comprises A concave lower face configured to match a convex top portion of said hat around said rivet; and
said bottom portion is configured to securely hold said rivet holding assembly against said hat and prevent movement of said rivet holding assembly relative to said rivet and said hat.
9. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hinge comprises a live hinge and is constructed out of the same material as said top portion and said bottom portion.
10. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said rivet holding assembly is constructed a material selected among plastic, as metal, paper, and cardboard.
11. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hinge comprises a mechanical hinge.
12. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hat accessory attaches to said rivet holding assembly using a fastener selected among adhesive, plastic welding, and threading.
13. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hat accessory comprises An LED light.
14. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hat accessory comprises A storage box.
15. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hat accessory comprises a sports souvenir selected among Bobble head, a football helmet, a baseball hat, and a ball.
16. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said hat accessory comprises a character selected among A bug, a team mascot, and a cartoon.
17. The hat rivet accessory assembly of claim 2 , wherein:
said top portion comprises A front face which comprises a logo.
18. A hat rivet accessory assembly to selectively attach a hat accessory to a rivet of a hat; wherein,
said hat rivet accessory assembly comprises a rivet holding assembly and said hat accessory;
said hat accessory is selectively attached to said rivet holding assembly and selectively attachable to said rivet of said hat;
said rivet comprise a lower width smaller than an upper width;
said rivet holding assembly comprises a top portion, a bottom portion and a hinge;
said bottom portion comprises a slot having a slot width;
said rivet holding assembly comprises an open configuration and a closed configuration;
said open configuration comprises said top portion and said bottom portion detached from one another;
said closed configuration comprises said top portion and said bottom portion attached to one another;
said hat rivet accessory assembly further comprises a bobble spring and a first accessory tab;
one end of said bobble spring is configured to attach to said first accessory tab of said rivet holding assembly, and another end of said bobble spring is configured to attach to a spring tab of said hat accessory;
said hat accessory comprises said spring tab;
said spring tab is configured to selectively attach to said bobble spring;
said spring tab and said bobble spring comprises a spring-tab diameter;
said bobble spring is configured to attach to said spring tab at one end and said first accessory tab at another end;
accordingly, said rivet holding assembly is configured to provide a base for a bobble head accessory such as said hat accessory, and said spring-tab diameter can allow said hat accessory to bob around with reference to said rivet holding assembly and a central axis;
said first accessory tab is an upper portion of said top portion of said rivet holding assembly;
said rivet holding assembly comprises said central axis, where with said rivet holding assembly in said closed configuration, said central axis is aligned with said first accessory tab and perpendicular to said slot;
said rivet holding assembly comprises a lip slot and a lip arranged opposite one another in said top portion and said bottom portion, and configured to selectively hold said rivet holding assembly in said closed configuration;
said bottom portion of said rivet holding assembly comprises a concave lower face configured to match a convex top portion of said hat around said rivet;
said bottom portion is configured to securely hold said rivet holding assembly against said hat and prevent movement of said rivet holding assembly relative to said rivet and said hat; and
said top portion comprises a front face which comprises a logo.
