Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application claims the benefit of priority of U.S. provisional application No. 62/520,804 filed 16 Jun. 2017, the contents of which are herein incorporated by reference.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to gloves used in the areas of cleaning, construction, painting, polishing and other uses, and, more particularly, to these types of gloves providing one or more finger stalls having an applicator disposed on each outer surface thereof.
  • Currently these types of devices do not use the precision dexterity of the fingertip through providing these gloves with a finger portion having an abrasive element disposed on an outer surface thereof. Therefore, these current types of utility devices cannot provide precise applications to small surface areas that need to be attended to with fine and delicate care for cleaning, painting, construction purposes, or the like. Rather currently the only utensils are paint brushes, sandpaper, microfiber, etc., which intrinsically include an extended object between the fingers of the user and the work area, making delicate, precise applications unduly challenging.
  • As can be seen, there is a need for utility, cleaning, construction, etc., gloves providing a finger portion having an attachment surface for interchangeably removably attaching a variety of applicator types. With the preselected applicator disposed on an outer surface of the finger stall, delicate, precise cleaning application over a small work area is facilitated. In short, the present invention, colloquially known as “The Finishing Touch Glove”, provides a reusable, interchangeable, multipurpose utility finger touch glove adapted for carpentry, construction, painting, staining, masonry, tiling, and the like. By affixing, attaching, or otherwise connecting a hook and loop fastening system near the distal tips of the finger stalls of reusable gloves (manufactured of all types of materials such as, but not limited to: cloth, cotton, rubber, polymers, etc.) the finger stalls can now fully engage hard to reach corners, cracks, and crevasses for all industrial, commercial, and household purposes by attaching a cleaning, painting, sanding, or construction material to a free-standing, interchangeable component of the hook and loop fastening system.
  • By re-purposing the concept behind touch-screen technology and applying this concept to commercial, industrial, and household applications, the present invention provides the end-user the most effective method of addressing small surface areas, and difficult-to-reach cracks, corners, and crevasses, by optimizing the dexterity of the human finger while protecting the finger through a reusable glove. Therefore, the present invention is an improvement upon existing reusable gloves by enabling the finger stall(s) to now be used as instruments, tools, or other types of utensils, through the use of the adjoined, or otherwise affixed, hook and loop fastening system to the finger stalls of the glove, while the other portion of the hook and loop fastening system being adhered to free-standing interchangeable component that now make the finger stall(s) functional instrument(s).
  • In other words, once the free-standing component removable engages the hook and loop fastening system, the reusable glove, the finger stall(s) of the reusable glove are now functional utensil(s), tool(s), instrument(s), etc. adapted with one or more of a variety of interchangeable applicator surfaces.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In one aspect of the present invention, a finishing touch application glove, includes one or more finger stalls, each finger stall adapted to receive a finger of a human wearer; an outward-facing detachable fastener disposed along each finger stall so as to be at or adjacent a fingertip of said finger; and a plurality of applicators, each applicator having an engaging surface and an opposing application surface.
  • In another aspect of the present invention, the finishing touch application glove includes one or more finger stalls, each finger stall adapted to receive a finger of a human wearer; a hook and loop fastening system disposed along each finger stall an outward-facing portion thereof so as to be at or adjacent a fingertip of said finger; and a plurality of applicators, each applicator an application surface and an opposing engaging surface adapted to removably attach to the hook and loop fastening system, wherein each engaging surface is dimensioned to be coextensive or dimensionally less than a dimensionality of the hook and loop fastening system, wherein the plurality of application surfaces includes at least an abrasive element and a sponge element.
